About me

I am the founder of Little Whole Me, a family support consultant, advanced newborn care specialist, and infant development specialist with more than 19 years of experience in early childhood education and family care. My work centers on newborn care, postpartum support, infant development, caregiver education, and the early family experience. I support families from pregnancy through early childhood, with particular expertise in the newborn period and first year of development. My background includes professional experience as an infant educator, early childhood education leader, newborn care specialist, postpartum doula, birth doula, breastfeeding educator, and postpartum peer support specialist. I have supported families navigating feeding concerns, pumping and bottle-feeding routines, newborn sleep, reflux and gastrointestinal sensitivities, premature birth, NICU transitions, multiples, developmental milestones, and the adjustment to life with a new baby. My approach is calm, responsive, developmentally informed, and individualized. Families receive more than hands-on care. They receive thoughtful planning, practical education, clear communication, and professional guidance designed to help them better understand their baby, strengthen caregiver confidence, and create sustainable rhythms at home. A dependable beginning for families seeking an intentional introduction to overnight newborn support and several protected nights of rest. Includes four eight-hour overnight shifts, professional newborn care, feeding and soothing support, safe and responsive nighttime routines, shift documentation, family communication, and one care check-in. All 32 hours must be used within four weeks.

Rest & Rhythm Care Plan

Consistent overnight support for families establishing feeding patterns, nighttime rhythms, and a more sustainable family routine. Includes eight eight-hour overnight shifts, individualized newborn care, feeding and soothing support, safe and responsive nighttime routines, shift documentation, family communication, and ongoing care-plan guidance. All 64 hours must be used within eight weeks.

Postpartum Foundations Care Plan

Thoughtfully structured daytime support for families adjusting to life with a newborn. Includes six four-hour visits for newborn care, feeding and pumping support, parent education, recovery-sensitive assistance, baby-related organization, infant development guidance, and help creating sustainable family rhythms. All 24 hours must be used within six weeks.

What services do you provide?

I provide overnight newborn care, daytime postpartum support, infant development guidance, newborn homecoming planning, and caregiver education. Each service is shaped around the baby’s needs, the family’s priorities, and the level of support requested.

What is included in overnight newborn care?

Overnight care may include feeding, burping, diapering, soothing, settling, bottle preparation, pumping support, baby-related cleaning, care documentation, and a thoughtful morning handoff. Care is provided in alignment with current safe-sleep guidance and the family’s approved care plan.

What is included in daytime postpartum support?

Daytime support may include newborn care, feeding and pumping assistance, parent education, recovery-sensitive support, baby-related organization, infant development guidance, and help creating sustainable household rhythms.

How are your care plans structured?

Services are offered through defined care plans rather than open-ended hourly bookings. Each plan includes a set number of hours or visits, a usage period, and clearly outlined support. This gives families greater clarity and allows care to remain intentional and consistent.

Do you support twins or babies with specialized needs?

Yes. I have experience supporting multiples, premature infants, NICU transitions, reflux, colic, gastrointestinal sensitivities, and families needing a more individualized level of newborn support. Specialized care is discussed during the inquiry process.

When should families begin the booking process?

Families are encouraged to inquire during pregnancy or as soon as they know support may be needed. Availability can be limited, particularly for overnight care. Last-minute inquiries are still welcome and will be considered based on the current schedule.

What areas do you serve?

I serve families throughout Loudoun County, Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and select Maryland communities. Travel availability and any applicable travel considerations are confirmed before booking.

Do you accept insurance?

Little Whole Me does not guarantee direct insurance coverage. HSA and FSA payments may be accepted, and families may request documentation to submit to their insurance provider or benefits administrator. Reimbursement is determined by the individual plan.

Do you provide medical care?

No. My services are nonmedical and do not replace pediatric, obstetric, lactation, or mental-health care. Concerns outside my professional scope are referred to the appropriate licensed provider.

What happens after I submit an inquiry?

Your inquiry is reviewed to better understand your anticipated start date, schedule, location, baby’s needs, and family priorities. You will then receive a response regarding availability and the care plan that may be the strongest fit.

Can care be extended?

Extensions may be available when requested in advance and when scheduling permits. Families receiving ongoing support are encouraged to discuss additional care before the final scheduled week.

Are consultations required before booking?

A brief consultation may be required before confirming ongoing care. This allows us to review your needs, expectations, schedule, and service fit before moving forward.
