It seems impossible to express my deep gratitude, appreciation and LOVE for Deborah. She was the *best* decision I made in setting myself up for success postpartum. From nourishing foods, massages, sound baths, to being a shoulder to cry on/vent to, our time together was not only rejuvenating but necessary for my well being. If I could have her move in with us and provide services forever, I would!! <3

Growing up, I had a very special relationship with my own babysitter who I looked up to. She became my first influence unknowingly to being in childcare. I try to carry her loving, thoughtful influence into my work as a nanny and newborn care specialist. I love working with children because they are so full of amazing energy and such a joy to be around. I learn a lot from them, like how to enjoy the simple things in life and how to be present in the moment. I have been working with children for seventeen years from the newborns to school age, but specialize in newborn/infant and toddler care.

I believe in sacredness of coming into parenthood and want to protect it, so that it can unfold in an undisturbed way, as much as possible, and this includes pregnancy, birth, and the ever-so- vulnerable postpartum period. I also believe that the birthing person is the only one who has the authority to make decisions about their body and their baby because I know that those decision will be the best ones for them at that given moment. This leaves no space for judgment; only support and respect.

I am passionate about providing support during the vulnerable moments of perinatal events and outcomes. I provide evidence-based care and specialize in informed consent. I look forward to speaking with you!

JD was everything we could want in a doula and more than we knew to ask for. They weren't just incredibly supportive and helpful during the labor and delivery, but they were curious about us and our relationship and family and how that might influence what we would need or want when the time came. the time came unexpectedly and suddenly and JD was still there through the whole thing. My partner is nonbinary and JD was there with they/them reminders when we were exhausted, in addition to advocating for us with hospital staff, anticipating needs and bringing extra love and comfort to our efforts.

We just had our first baby. It turned out to be a great choice to have Renee as our doula. We had two fruitful prenatal sessions to prepare a thorough birth plan and to practice various techniques for coping with contractions and pushing effectively. She was also very helpful through my whole laboring process. With her help, I managed to make sensible decisions about medical interventions and had a memorable laboring experience without regret.
