I initially struggled with my milk supply and breastfeeding form, and I’m so grateful for Chelsy and the work she does/her expertise. She was extremely thorough and took the time to do a full oral exam on my baby, where she identified a tongue tie that had been affecting a sustained latch. From there, she gave me the tools and techniques I needed to overcome that challenge. With her guidance, I was able to improve my baby’s latch, establish a strong milk supply, and ultimately breastfeed successfully without needing to supplement. She was knowledgeable, patient, responsive and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. I highly recommend her to any new parent.

I am so grateful for Chelsy. She was helpful in recognizing a latch issue for our baby. Chelsey provided exercises to help strengthen babies latch. Her knowledge and compassion eased our recovery process as baby received a tongue-tie lift procedure. She left me with more exercises to do and the confidence moving forward with feedings. We are so thankful to have her as a resource for the future!!

I had such a great experience with Chelsy — she was incredibly helpful with improving my baby’s latch, walking me through bottle feeding techniques, and thoroughly checking for any possible oral restrictions. She was patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel so much more confident with feeding. I left the appointment feeling supported and with clear tools that actually made a difference right away. I can’t recommend her enough to any new parent who needs feeding support!

I’m a first time mom and the fist women in my family to breast feed and I had a rough start to it when my son was born he didn’t quite get the sucking down he would bite my nipples the first couple days which lead to me pumping and bottle feeding him which went great the first couple weeks then when he started eating more I wasn’t pumping enough for him and went with supplementing with formula which is great an went well but I’ve noticed his stomach would not entirely hurt but I knew he was uncomfortable and had less frequent poos and I always wanted to be able to just give him breast milk at my last postpartum appointment I mention it to my doctor and they gave me Chelsy information and I got in touch with her every meeting I had with her she made me feel great about my ability and effort I’ve don’t to feed my son we talked about my goals and ways to be able to get there we started by keeping track of how much I could pump and how much I would supplement then we went to triple feeding to pumping once a day and exclusively nursing him in 3 weeks I was able to get to my goal of being able to exclusively breast feed him and he has been doing great growing and feeding perfectly I’m very grateful and appreciate how well she listen and makes her patients feel comfortable and the knowledge she has really helps I would recommend her to anyone who need the help or just want to know more she really great

We are beyond grateful that we found Chelsy and were able to benefit from her invaluable lactation consultant guidance. I was really struggling before reaching out to Chelsy and may not have made it past the first few weeks of breast feeding had it not been for her incredibly calming and caring presence. I attended a breastfeeding class at a hospital before our baby was born which helped, but nothing could have fully prepared me for how challenging breastfeeding would be in the beginning. Chelsy helped us navigate the basics of breastfeeding in the comfort of our own home during the newborn phase (which again we are incredibly grateful for, since it is so hard to get anywhere during those first weeks/ months!). Chelsy helped us simplify our process and brought us some peace of mind with her weighted feeding checks. We still apply guidance she suggested today with our almost 5-month-old! It is obvious that Chelsy really cares about her clients and made sure to check back in via text to see how things were going between visits. This was so helpful when new issues arose such as clogged ducts/ mastitis, pain, and poor/ refusal to latch during the beginning of our breastfeeding journey. We were able to overcome unnecessary nipple shield usage with Chelsy’s guidance as well which felt like an impossible feat before meeting with her! Years from now, when I look back at this incredible journey, I know I will still think about how much more confident I felt about my ability to continue breastfeeding after meeting with Chelsy. I will be forever grateful for Chelsy sharing her vast knowledge and experience!

Chelsy is truly one of a kind! She is such a caring, patient, and passionate IBCLC who goes above and beyond to help families reach their breastfeeding goals. She supported me with my baby girl’s latch and helped us make the amazing transition from exclusively pumping to exclusively nursing. It has always been my dream to exclusively breastfeed my babies, but with my last two, I wasn’t able to. This is my last baby, and Chelsy helped make that dream come true. Because of her, I get to cherish every special moment and experience the beautiful breastfeeding bond I’ve always wanted. I am forever grateful for her kindness, encouragement, and knowledge. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares and makes you feel comfortable every step of the way, I can’t recommend Chelsy enough. She truly changed my breastfeeding journey

Chelsy was wonderful! As a first time mother- enduring my delivery was hard enough, but then I had troubles breastfeeding. Chelsy came to our home to help, and supported me in any direction I decided to take. She explained things patiently and made sure I knew all my options, pros and cons. She is an amazing lactation consultant in addition to just a great person to ensure I wasn't left to drown in all the advice random people like to give. Hands down relieved so much stress and gave me the support and tools I needed to succeed.

Listen fellas, You may think a Doula is extra or not worth your money. You cannot comprehend how useful and how helpful having a Doula is not only for your wife (partner), but for yourself as well. She was prepared, calm, and a great resource and voice to have in the room. I could not imagine going through the birth experience without one. Worth every penny and for what she did, she could have charged twice as much. Having the extra support who understands what you need and want out of the birth is huge. Sometimes you just need someone to take the edge of the situation off, and your partner may need another voice that’s not yours, and she offers that’s calming voice of reason. Cannot recommend her services enough.

I had the pleasure of working with Chelsy for my second daughter. She was nothing short of amazing. She helped with techniques for all my breastfeeding challenges. I’ve been able to exclusively breastfeed for 13 months now (she started solids too of course) Not only was she helpful with my newborn but overall just a great support system, comforting, and attentive. On our visits she helped me change diapers, housework, whatever I needed to just be at peace. She even watched my little ones so I could shower. That in itself was amazing. I highly recommend using these services. My only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner. They are able to support through the birthing process and I know that would be great to have, especially for first time mamas.

I cannot say enough good things about Chelsy I am so grateful for her. She is a skilled Doula, her experience as a mother allows her to relate deeply to clients, understand their emotional needs, and provide more empathetic and informed support throughout the birthing process and beyond. With her compassion and calm presence, she helped me with the immense grief I was suffering following a deeply traumatic miscarriage. She guided me into healthy ways to process and validate my feelings. She helped me to understand the emotional and spiritual aspects of such a heartbreaking loss of a precious life. I connected with my own spirit in deeper and more meaningful ways. I honored my baby's life and spirit in ways that reflected the sacredness of the connection I had with my baby. With her intuitive and supportive nature, she readily connects with the physical and emotional challenges a mother faces, offering the comfort and reassurance needed. She is knowledgeable of valuable resources as well. Thank you Chlesy you are an Angel on Earth!

Chelsy was amazing to have in my birth team! I wouldn't want to go through labor without a doula and will hire her for my next baby too. She even got my husband on board when he was questioning why I needed a doula, by showing him how her role was different then his. My labor ended up between 2 hospitals and was super quick. Chelsy gave guidance and support when I was overwhelmed with decisions to make and helped me stick to my birth plan. She also had insight beyond the medical staff. I highly recommend her.

I needed support in achieving a good latch and boosting my milk supply, as well as some general postpartum support especially as I don't live near family. Chelsy was extremely helpful and accommodating, and I really appreciated her kind, professional attitude.

excellent work, I happily recommend it

Chelsey was so helpful prenatally and postpartum. I was so lucky to also have her attend my birth and she was SO beyond helpful. The education she provided me was so helpful during and after I had baby.

Chelsy attended the birth of my second child. She offered so much sincere support, encouragement and information. Was absolutely amazing and invaluable for both me and my partner. Helped me feel confident and safe in my body. Also accepted my insurance! So grateful for her and her service.

I'm truly thankful for Chelsy. Involving someone else in this very intimate journey is a big decision. Chelsy came with an incredible amount of knowledge and entered our world tenderly with the loving support we needed. With her help I had a truly empowering experience with my second child that didn't happen by chance. She helped me develop the childbirth experience I wanted with such calmness and bravery. We're very grateful for her expertise before, during and after.
- Gillian Rode
Chelsy was so helpful and knowledgeable. She came to my home to help me restore my milk supply after a latch issue was finally resolved. Chelsy even made my daughter snacks during our visit. She advised me through nursing and pumping to reach my breastfeeding goals as well as gave me great advice to avoid clogged ducts after all the breast pump use. I highly recommend reaching out to her if you’re in need of doula or breastfeeding help!

Having Chelsy as my doula made all the difference in my pregnancy journey this time around. Being able to talk to her through the ups and downs and just having someone so caring and knowledgeable, I feel so lucky and grateful for. I was able to achieve my goal of an unmedicated natural water birth with her guidance through planning, handling contractions and different labor positions. I want to emphasize how extremely knowledgeable and well educated she is in all things related to breastfeeding, babies, pregnancy and more. She went above and beyond to show great care and emotional & physical support for me and my family throughout the whole process and we miss her! I would absolutely recommend her services if you are pregnant, you’ll be glad you did!
- Heather Stone
Chelsy is so amazing at what she does. I loved having someone in my corner that not only had professional experience, but also personal experience as a fellow mom of 4. It made me feel validated, heard and understood. She's very understanding, knowledgeable, patient, gentle and kind. Which is exactly what I needed. I truly enjoyed not just her help, but also her presence. She is genuine, and I strongly recommend her help.

Chelsy was such a great resource for us in the beginning months of breast feeding. I had various issues, some very common some not as much, and Chelsy was just a text or phone call away to provide me with answers, recommendations and support. I am grateful for all her shared knowledge and empathy. Thanks to Chelsy, baby girl and I were able to get through those tough first few months and continue to thrive in our breastfeeding journey. Thank you Chelsy for all your help!
- Elise Fisher
Words can’t describe how important Chelsy was for our postpartum journey. During pregnancy we took three classes from her - childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn. These three classes prepared us for what was to come with labor and delivery, breastfeeding ins and outs, and what to expect once our little girl arrived. The ability to have the classes private in our home was amazing and we felt we were able to exhaust all our questions as first time parents. We also had Chelsy for postpartum doula services. She visited us in the hospital after our labor and delivery didn’t go as planned as she supported us in ways medical professionals did not. Once home, Chelsy came at the drop of a hat when I became engorged and she worked tirelessly to help me in my breastfeeding journey. Had she not been there, I would have given up immediately on the idea of breastfeeding. After we crossed the breastfeeding hurdle, Chelsy was still amazing to support our family as we adjusted to life as new parents. She educated us, validated our feelings, gave our little one love and attention while I was able to grab a nap, and provided us with the support we didn’t even know we needed. I can’t recommend her services enough! I only wish I had also had her services during delivery. If you’re expecting, don’t hesitate to reach out and get doula support and services from Nutured Guidance!

If you are on the fence about hiring a Doula for your labor and delivery or for postpartum services, I highly recommend Chelsy! And here’s why: Things can change pretty quickly in the delivery room. Having a professional with you who is there as your advocate, is experienced, knowledgeable, and provides a calm and stable presence can help you to make clear and informed decisions about your delivery, and help you feel more powerful and in control of your birth experience. I had not originally considered hiring a doula, as I thought my husband and family would be able to provide enough physical and emotional support. But when I found out a week before my due date that my labor would need to be induced, I thought yikes! I’m going to need some additional support! Being pregnant at 40, I had watched many of my friends struggle with challenging deliveries. In a way, I ‘knew too much’ about both the physical and emotional challenges involved. But with Chelsey's nurtured guidance, I was able to reach my goal: having the most natural medically induced labor and delivery possible, utilizing wonderful techniques for relaxation and pain management, so that my labor progressed beautifully and I was able to deliver our baby girl vaginally as I had hoped. What began as something I feared became a wonderfully meditative and empowering experience. Chelsy worked with my husband to guide me through natural pain management techniques, focus and relaxation exercises. She helped me release the tension and anxiety to allow my body to do what it wanted to do naturally. I can honestly say I had a wonderful birth experience, and I owe it all to Chelsy! We also hired Chelsy for numerous postpartum doula services, for everything from breastfeeding support and burping techniques to help with transition to bottle for back to work, to 'what is going on with my baby right now?!?' Her calm presence and guidance was so wonderful to have during the tumultuous newborn stage!

Chelsy was the encouraging and calming force my birth experience needed. She gently coached me through contractions I didn’t think I could handle, and helped me stay focused and mobile all throughout labor. She knew when to hand me water, when to help me change positions and was overall just so helpful. She’s an absolute pleasure to bring into such an intimate moment for our new family.
- Amy LaFay
Chelsy is amazing. She is kind, compassionate, and provides excellent postpartum doula care. She went above and beyond to help me, my new baby, and my older children.
