Catherine Finn
About me
Hello, My name is Catherine and I hold a postpartum doula certification. I have worked with new moms as a nanny for 10+ years and have my A.A. in Child Development. I am excited to now be working as a Doula after many years of parents telling me that I would make a great Doula! My own 2 beautiful children are young adults and I can remember my postpartum experience as one that could have really used a doula. My philosophy is to be (NEAR) Normalize-ANY questions, Educate-for example any feeding questions, Assess- diapers & feedings, and Refer - if you are questing a pediatrician, or lactation consultation. These are just examples, of ways I will help during the first days and weeks of this wonderful time between parents and baby.

Service introduction
*My services will be accepting insurance in the future, in case you have another baby or know someone that would like to have insurance pay for my services. I practice a fair, un-bias philosophy to every client without judgement. I respect each home as it's own culture with it's own individual differences and practice being 'N.E.A.R.' I will Normalize questions about everything going on during recovery while adjusting to being a new parent. I will Educate, for example, babies often feed frequently in the newborn period, and there are signs we can watch to see if feeding is going well. I will Assess things like how many wet diapers your baby had per day with how often they are feeding. And I will Refer if needed, because you may want a lactation consultation, pediatrician, massage, or herbalist. I will focus on making sure the family is fed while providing our new moms nutrients, sleep, shower time, or run errands for groceries. I will recommend specific teas and happily help with other children, family or pets to make your life easier the way you want to use my time during our contract. I offer a few different packages and am happy to discuss what will be a good fit. Thank you for taking the time to consider me and I look forward to meeting you and your baby soon.
