I have more two decades of training and practice as a Maternal Child Health Specialist. For nearly a decade, I worked in a private practice in New York, where nearly a thousand families are served each year, before moving to the greater Detroit area. I sat boards and became certified as an IBCLC in 2010. My university education was uniquely focused on the history of women and infant health care and nutrition as well as practical assessment and support of new families. I have helped women conquer the often challenging stages of lactation. I usually serve within an hour of Jackson, MI. I got my start in birth work by being a wedding and family photographer first. Then on Pinterest, I found birth photography photos and I thought it was beautiful. So I got into birth photography and was hooked. Then after I had my first kid, I took a birth doula training and realized that this was my calling.
