Please reach out to me through my website as I rarely monitor Bornbir's website: www.centeredbeginningsdoula.com I attended birth doula training through the Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. I received my Birth Doula certification through DONA International. My services include a free consultation, two prenatal visits, attending the birth, two postpartum visits, phone/text support and initial breast feeding support. Typical services I provide as a birth doula are relaxation techniques, counter pressure massage, acupressure, breathing techniques, set up, clean up, cooking as needed, emotional and physical support, position changes, evidence-based explanations to questions and much more. It is my intention that you feel heard, validated and respected every step of the way. Whether you are a first time parent, a seasoned parent, single parent or surrogate - your experience matters. Your needs, your baby, and your family are unique! Your care and support should reflect that. I consider it a privilege to be part of your journey and I look forward to connecting with you!

Hi! My name is Jesse! I am a birth worker! I have always had a calling for Obstetrics and all that it encompasses along with medicine! So to fill those callings I became a doula and a EMT in 2023! I believe that being informed in all that we do is important. Knowledge is power. And when you are at your most vulnerable time (giving birth) it is the most vital time to have all the information and the most support. My goal it to keep my clients informed, answer any questions, find resources. And help try to facilitate the birth that is wanted. I am a judgement-free doula. And am here to be a support person for you.
I want to start by saying when I first was getting a doula I had no idea what to expect or what a doula really would do during a birth. Jesse explained everything so beautifully on what a doula is used for, what the positives a doula can bring to a birthing experience, how doulas can help post-partum, and much more. I didn’t have too hard of a pregnancy but was diagnosed with Cholestasis in my third trimester which led to us needing to be induced around 37 weeks. I expressed my worries and scares with Jesse and we made a plan 💕 Jesse attended a birthing class with my husband and I as we were wanting to learn a little more about the birthing process and see if there was any educational assistance for inductions. Jesse was always one step ahead when it came to our questions and if we weren’t sure, she would ask or would try to find answers. The day came for our induction. We went in at 6am on the 13th and began the process of induction around 9:30am. Jesse was texting with me and checking in on me through the whole beginning process. I asked her if she would come once we got into active labor (which I didn’t know when that would come obviously) but she came that afternoon full of absolute love, excitement, and just a powerful presence. Through the full 39 hours of labor Jesse was by my side through every wake up, every contraction, every scare, every med pass, trying to get to the bathroom and then getting stuck on the toilet in the middle of contractions, reminding me to change positions, and every piece in between. The first 24hrs of labor were full of pressure releases, dance parties trying to work on dilation, watching a movie while trying to bounce on the exercise ball, and having LOTS of mental health check ins. My husband and I are so blessed to have had Jesse with us through this crazy adventure of our first birth, but I know 100% that we will NOT be doing another one without a doula. Jesse’s presence brought so much peace to both of us and made this rough labor a much happier experience to look back on. Thank you Jesse for all you do for the mamas and I can’t wait to reach out again for our next birth 💕 I couldn’t recommend someone more than Jesse to have by your side!!!!

Hi! My name is Shana. I am a Doula who loves helping moms. Whether it’s during your birth, at home after birth, or providing child birth education I want to be apart of your Kick Butt Support Team! I love helping moms keep their autonomy while finding their voice in pregnancy and birth.
Shana was my doula for the entirety of my pregnancy, birth, and the few days she offers postpartum. As well as doing a maternity photoshoot for my husband and I and grabbing shots in the hospital. I could not recommend her more! She is so good to share with you the facts and wait to be asked to share her opinion if you desire. She has had many of her own experiences both good and bad through her four children to where she is able to relate to a lot and understand what your feeling and can help navigate that. She not only supported me, but also my husband and encouraged him to be there with me. She helped us remember the plan we had made and helped us to stick to it the best we could. Her calming presence in a room and her willingness to be as involved as you needed was outstanding. I could go on and on and highly recommend her as your doula. If you’re doubting the need for another person in the room I highly recommend you reconsider!

Hi there! I’m Aja, and I LOVE birth work. My passion started with my first pregnancy in 2020, and has only grown from there! My main goal and priority is doing everything I can to ensure my clients get the birth and postpartum they want. I believe birth of any sort and manner demands support, both mentally and physically. I am certified as a DONA birth and postpartum doula, and am also lactation certified. I just really love all things pregnancy, birth and baby related. I’d love to help you!
When we found out we were pregnant I was on a mission to have the best labor and delivery experience possible. That’s where the wonderfully talented Aja Gribble changed my life and made my dream a reality. Aja from the start was an amazing advocate for my needs and wants. We met up with my husband and spent the next hour and a half figuring out what exactly we wanted out of this experience. As a first time mom, my concern was going with a naturalistic approach at a birth center and having an unmedicated birth while maintaining a positive experience. Aja helped me find that and did her best to advise me on what my birth plan would look like if we were to incorporate all of my wishes into something doable. We also created a backup plan if the situation arose where we had to do a hospital birth. I felt so well taken care of and heard while preparing for my baby’s birth. Another strong suit of Aja’s is her vast knowledge of labor and being a mom in general. She was sending me tips left and right according to my wants and needs. When it came down to getting baby ready, she provided a list of exercises to get my daughter in position. I was laboring at home for the majority of my labor and Aja along with my husband, of course, got me through it. She showed my husband different ways he could support me with every contraction and I do believe it’s what got me to be dilated at an 8 by the time we arrived at the birthing center. She stood by my side for the duration of my labor and delivery and was nothing but positive and encouraging not only to me but my husband. Needless to say I am so happy with having hired Aja as a doula because her guiding me through this process made a world of a difference. Thank you Aja for being wonderful and being a part of our journey and making it that much better. We couldn't have done it without you.Â

Hi there! I’m Reighan. I provide holistic doula support in Central/Eastern WA. Holding space for strong feelings and emotions, empathizing, seeing past the outer layers of a person and into who they are inside are a few things that come naturally to me. The journey of pregnancy and birth is sacred and utterly transformational. It is also messy and challenging. It requires the entirety of our body, minds, and spirits. It is my joy to help folks remember the truth that has been there all along: that everything they need has always existed inside of themselves. On any given day you can likely find me walking to the park with my 4 magical kids, eating spicy chips with my lovely husband, or reading one of the twelve books I am usually in the middle of. : )

Hey there, I'm Autumn! As a labor and delivery nurse turned birth doula, my heart is deeply committed to supporting women through their unique and beautiful birth journeys, especially those seeking the healing and empowerment of a VBAC. Having experienced a VBAC myself, I understand the strength and courage it takes, and I am honored to walk alongside you as a certified VBAC doula. I believe every birth is special and personal, blending my passion for the science of obstetrics with a deep respect for the spiritual and instinctive nature of labor. As a follower of Jesus, a wife, and a mother of two, I bring both professional knowledge and a heartfelt understanding to the families I serve, trusting in God's guidance throughout each birth experience I am honored to support.
From the first time I met Autumn I knew we were going to connect well. She is an amazing listener, patient, kind and so smart…especially in all things birth! Autumn is truly experienced and always had an answer to my questions with a great balance between giving not just the benefits but also risks and alternatives to suggested interventions. Having her in your birth space means having a calm presence, knowledgeable guide and a strong advocate. I can’t recommend her enough!

Hi there! I am a doula in the South-King and Pierce county area. I recently had my first baby and had a beautiful and successful home birth! Having that experience behind me I can honor the vulnerability that women are faced with in such a monumental moment in time. I believe that every birth should be protected and honored for the extraordinary experience it is. I value creating relationships with my clients that are friendship based and grown with trust and compassion. Every birth is different and unique and should be treated as such. I can’t wait to get to know you and work with you! :)
Felisha helped us welcome our first child into the world and we are SO grateful to have had her alongside us in that journey! She was always so kind and thoughtful, wanting our priorities to be heard and met first. When labor/contractions started for me, it all went rather quickly for me as a first time mom but Felisha was ready and able to come to me as soon as I needed her. She was helpful and thoughtful while I labored at home. She was absolutely needed to get through my labor and delivery. Having a second person (besides my Husband) that I was comfortable with to help me get through contractions, apply counter pressure, switch positions, and get water/snacks was everything we needed. We cannot thank Felisha enough for helping us welcome our baby girl into the world!

Hi! I’m Jaya Mallik (she/her), a birth and postpartum doula in Maple Valley, WA, where I live with my husband, Nathan, and our two daughters, Asha and Diya. My journey into doula work began with my own birth experiences. After an emergency first birth and postpartum depression, I found healing during my second birth with the support of a culturally aligned doula who empowered me and honored my values. Her guidance inspired me to provide the same compassionate care to others. As a Woman of Color and current DEI practitioner, I’m committed to addressing healthcare inequities and ensuring every birthing person feels empowered and supported through this transformative journey.
From the very first day after our daughter came home from the hospital, Jaya immersed herself in our family’s rhythm, offering calm expertise when we felt overwhelmed. Her presence was both warm and professional—a rare combination that instantly put us at ease. Jaya’s understanding of newborn physiology and postpartum healing surpassed our expectations. As our postpartum doula, she provided exceptional care not only for our baby, but for us as new parents navigating unfamiliar territory. She guided us through pumping techniques, milk supply management, patiently demonstrating positions and troubleshooting common hurdles such as calming strategies for fussy moments, plans for mother’s rest, nutrition, and emotional well-being. Beyond that, she coached us on safe swaddling, diapering, and sleep-cycle cues, ensuring we felt confident rather than confused each time we stepped into the baby's room. What made Jaya extraordinary is her ability to blend science and experience. She explained the “whys” behind baby behavior and care in a way that was clear and empowering, while also sharing real-life wisdom from her own journey. Her approach was always inclusive and respectful of our values—she listened, adapted, and supported us without judgment. Her practical contributions to our home were just as impactful. The closet was always well organized, and our baby was consistently dressed in freshly laundered clothes when Jaya left. Baby laundry was folded and tucked away neatly, and bottles were meticulously cleaned and ready for the next feed. These thoughtful touches made daily life easier and more comfortable, allowing us to focus on bonding with our baby and building confidence as new parents. Now that our baby is two months old, we carry forward every lesson Jaya taught us. We’ve built routines, solved feeding puzzles, and even started planning for milestones ahead—all thanks to her mentorship. To any family seeking more than just hands-on help, but true partnership through the tender early days of parenthood, we wholeheartedly recommend Jaya. She doesn’t just support—you grow stronger under her guidance, equipped with knowledge, compassion, and a deep sense of trust. We are deeply grateful to have had her by our side during such a vulnerable and meaningful time. Thanks to Jaya, we felt confident, informed, and cared for. If you’re looking for a doula who combines science, sensitivity, and genuine care, Jaya is the person you want by your side.

Hi! I’m Lyndsie, a wife and mother to 2 boys and all around “birth friend” I love spending time outdoors, grabbing a coffee and catching up with friends and am always up for adventures! I believe birth is beautiful, empowering, and transformative. It does not need to be coerced, feared or walked alone. It is my utmost honor to walk alongside women as they transition from maiden to mother. To hold space with a reassuring smile, and a joyful heart, while you bring your baby earth side in your full authority. I believe in connection and relationships. With me you are not hiring an attendant, you are forming a friendship and understanding, you are gaining a sister who loves birth and you and will hold you in all the ways you need.

I am Bryana! A mother of 2 with over a decade of infant care experience, a passion for birth, and a passion to help families build a strong foundation for pregnancy, birth and postpartum!
Bryana is an amazing doula. The doulas from her agency are also amazing. I have had the pleasure of having her all 3 of my births. She is so knowledgeable & answered all of my questions. She was attentive when i needed her & was amazing during my births! She is worth everything. I felt loved & cared for as well as my fiancé had the same sentiment. We enjoyed her company & her support. She was amazing in every part of the process. I can’t express enough how much i would hire her over and over again. This last birth she started doing birth photography & while she couldn’t go into the OR DUE TO my hospital not allowing her She got amazing photos before and after we went in and came out and I’m forever grateful for those photos and memories & i cry when i look at them. The experience is over all blissful. Her and her doulas are attentive and answer questions in a timely manner & if i had more babies i would pick her and her agency over and over again. The peace of mind they gave us was everything! I recommend her to everyone truly.

I am a certified labor/birth and postpartum doula. I am also a Newborn Care Specialist and a certified newborn sleep specialist and sleep coach. In addition to giving birth to 10 children myself, I have helped hundreds of families in the nearly 30 years I've been doing this work. I feel it really DOES take a village to raise a child, and I am always honored to be invited to that village. Whether it's assisting in getting information so parents can make informed decisions in labor or birth, or teaching new parents how to bathe their babies, or establishing sleep routines to help all household members to "sleep like a baby", the role I am invited into is an important one that I do not take lightly.
We are very glad that we had tabitha for the first 3 months for our son. She is very professional and so compassionate. She is loving and caring and taught us so much about baby caring.
