About me
Hello, dear mama, My name is Vita Baranauskas, and I am a wife, mother to two, and grandma to two. With over twenty years in the medical field, I have always been drawn to caring for others, but becoming a doula was my true calling. Why do I do this? It is my belief that every mother should have someone by her side. My only goal is for you to experience your ideal birth, whatever that looks like for you. I learn to remain calm and adapt to life's movements through my happy place, the ocean, while my lush garden reminds me to nurture with love and patience. Care, intuition, and confidence are what I bring to you. I'm here to support you, provide compassionate, judgement-free care, and help you make the choices that feel right for you.

Hello, precious mama-to-be! I’m Vita Baranauskas, DoulaVitaB, a DONA International workshop-certified birth doula here to honor your unique journey. As a mother of two and grandmother of two, with 36 years of marriage, I bring deep care and understanding to support your dream of a natural, unmedicated birth in a hospital. My gentle, ocean-inspired energy creates a calm, safe space, and I advocate confidently to ensure your wishes are respected. I focus on your needs, using evidence-based techniques like acupressure and soothing breathing to ease labor’s stages—cervical dilation, baby’s birth, placenta delivery, and recovery. For your partner, I provide hands-on education during prenatal visits, teaching simple comfort techniques like massage and labor positions to empower you both as a team. With love and intention, I’m here to make your birth experience empowering and joyful. Vita was a warm, consistent support through out the end of my pregnancy and through my labor. She provided videos, visuals, reading materials, and demonstrations for a variety of techniques to prep for birth. She worked with me and my partner so we felt prepared for a VBAC. She answered my middle of the night texts to determine when to move to the hospital. She consistently provided cues for movement and breath to support pain management and the successful movement of my baby through the labor process. She also helped me focus on hydration and keeping my energy up. Vita provided cues for my husband to support me as well. I went from my first birth being an induction ending in an unplanned c section to a completely natural birth with the help of Vita! It was exactly what we wanted and Vita helped us feel confident advocating in the hospital. I cannot thank Vita enough for all of her support.
