About me

Hi, I'm Taylor Clarke-Cameron, a birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator based in New Jersey. Since launching my doula practice in December 2024, I've had the privilege of supporting 15 families and attending 13 births, and every single one has deepened my commitment to this work. Before stepping into birth work, I spent over a decade as a school administrator — advocating for individuals, navigating complex systems, and building trust with families during some of the most pivotal moments of their lives. That foundation shapes everything I do as a doula: I show up informed, steady, and fully in your corner. My mission is simple: every birthing person deserves to feel informed, empowered, and supported — no exceptions. I am proudly affirming of all families, including single parents, multicultural and multi-religious families, LGBTQIA+ families, parents with disabilities, parents who are neurodivergent, and those growing their families through adoption. My Approach Universal Support, Personal Touch Birth is universal—it's happened across cultures, centuries, and countless galaxies of human experience. Yet YOUR birth is uniquely yours, a wonder that deserves celebration and support tailored specifically to your needs. Whether you're a single parent writing your own heroic story, part of a multicultural or multi-religious family blending beautiful traditions, navigating parenthood in the LGBTQIA+ community, a differently-abled parent, a neurodivergent parent, or creating your family through adoption—I am here for YOU. Your journey matters, your choices are valid, and your experience deserves nothing less than stellar support.

Service introduction

I do not accept insurance, but I am an approved Carrot Fertility Birth Doula. As a DONA International Certified Birth Doula & trained Post-Partum Doula, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized support throughout your birthing journey. My services include 24/7 availability via phone call or text message to address all your questions and concerns, ensuring you feel informed and empowered every step of the way. As a Birth Doula, I offer a wide range of offerings where we will explore pain management techniques, discuss how to prepare your body for birth, and develop a personalized birth plan that reflects your preferences and goals. During labor, I provide continuous care from active labor onward, offering emotional support, physical comfort measures such as massage, aromatherapy, and non-medicated pain management techniques, and guidance in breathing strategies to promote relaxation and confidence. Additionally, I help your support person feel equipped to advocate for and assist you during labor. My care extends beyond delivery, with initial postpartum support at the hospital and a follow-up visit to ensure a smooth transition into parenthood. My goal is to create a nurturing and supportive environment, empowering you to have a positive and fulfilling birth experience. As a Postpartum Doula, I work on supporting families in the postpartum period through compassionate care, education, and practical help, including recovery, infant care, feeding support, sibling adjustment, meal prep, and light household tasks. Taylor was my birth doula, and I truly feel it was divine intervention that she came into my life—especially since my son was born on her birthday. From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive, informative, and intentional in supporting both me and my husband. She created a detailed binder for us with guides on what to expect, postpartum care, exercises, and nutritious foods that were safe for both me and my baby. The information was so thorough that I never felt the need to search elsewhere. One moment that deeply stood out to me was when I shared that I wanted to play Surahs during my labor and delivery. At our next visit, Taylor had printed out different Surahs along with explanations of their purposes, making it easier for me to choose what I wanted to hear. That level of thoughtfulness meant so much to me. I also appreciated her honesty and professionalism. If she didn’t know something, she would say so—then either refer me to my midwives or research and follow up with me. During labor and delivery, she was calm, knowledgeable, and attentive. She impressed the medical staff, made me feel safe and advocated for, and ensured my husband felt supported and confident asking questions. Taylor made a huge impact on my first delivery, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better doula. Even now, she continues to send monthly emails with updates on my son’s development and what to expect as I heal. Taylor is amazing, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about what she does.
