We are so grateful for Stacey’s help. Our baby went from waking 7 times a night to sleeping through the night much faster than we ever expected. What stood out most was how personalized her approach was. Her recommendations were evidence based, but always tailored to our family’s needs and comfort level. As nervous first time parents, having Stacey check in with us nightly and help troubleshoot in real time made all the difference. We trusted her completely after working with her as our postpartum doula, and hiring her as our sleep consultant was one of the best decisions we made. Highly recommend!

I used Stacey to care for my newborn baby when I was visiting Newport for a destination wedding. As a first time mom finding childcare in an unfamiliar setting seemed daunting and nerve wracking. I came across Stacey’s name on Facebook and I couldn’t be more thankful. She instantly made me feel comfortable and made the entire process so seamless. She immediately connected with my baby, made him feel calm in a somewhat chaotic atmosphere, and was so kind to everyone she encountered at the event. I can’t recommend her services enough to other moms in a similar situation.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Stacey and the support she provided me during the first several months of my postpartum journey. Her care went so far beyond what I ever expected and made such a meaningful difference during a time that can feel (and was) overwhelming. She was always willing to jump in and help with baby-related tasks, whether it was folding baby laundry, prepping and making my lactation protein balls, or taking little things off my plate so I could focus on recovering and caring for my son. Those acts of service were invaluable and made me feel so supported. Beyond the practical help, she was an incredible source of knowledge and reassurance. As my baby reached new developmental milestones, she offered thoughtful guidance on age-appropriate toys, play ideas, and activities to encourage his growth and development. Her recommendations were always evidence-based, intentional, and tailored to his stage. Most importantly, she gave me confidence as a new mom. I always felt like I had someone in my corner to answer questions, provide encouragement, and remind me that I was doing a great job. Stacey has such a warm, professional yet personable personality I immediately felt comfortable having her in my home taking care of my newborn! If my son became fussy and needed me, she would immediately offer other tasks she could do to help while I nursed him, etc. If you’re considering postpartum doula support, I wholeheartedly recommend her. She brought kindness, expertise, and genuine care into our home, and I’m so grateful she was part of our family’s journey.

As first-time parents without family nearby and with no prior experience caring for babies, Stacey helped us not only survive but also enjoy the fourth trimester with our newborn. Her in-home Newborn 101 class gave us confidence going into the birth, and once our baby arrived, having Stacey there to guide us through new activities, like bath time, play time, and tummy time, was invaluable. We always looked forward to the days Stacey came because they gave us a chance to relax, ask questions, and catch up on much-needed sleep. Stacey provided thoughtful, evidence-based guidance, which saved us from trying to sort through the overwhelming and often conflicting advice out there while already exhausted as new parents. Her excellent organizational skills set us up for success in handling all of the new items and systems we needed to put into place for bottles, diapers, and laundry when we did not have the mental bandwidth to handle this. We would absolutely hire Stacey again and recommend her to any family expecting a baby.

As first-time parents, hiring Stacey as our postpartum doula was one of the best decisions we made. From our very first interview, Stacey immediately put us at ease and helped us feel confident stepping into our new roles as mom and dad. Her calm, caring, and reassuring presence made such a difference during those first few weeks and made everything feel a little less overwhelming. Stacey was amazing with our daughter and helped us navigate so many firsts — from swaddling and baby-wearing to soothing and giving our daughter her very first bath — always offering practical tips, resources, reassurance, and encouragement. Beyond that, she helped us in countless other ways like in organizing our nursery, setting up our baby supplies, making sure we were fed, including cooking some delicious meals for us and even picking up pre-ordered groceries on occasion. The care she provided made our days feel lighter, easier, and far more rested, which is everything with a newborn. What meant the most to both of us were the conversations and support she gave during a very emotional time. Stacey always listened with kindness and understanding, and as new parents, having someone there to reassure us and help us navigate the transition into parenthood was invaluable. We are so grateful for the care and support Stacey gave our family, and we truly couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Asking Stacey to help us was the best decision my husband and I made postpartum! We were amazed every time she walked through the door that she came to help in ways large and small, and did not stop until she left. She gave us the confidence and SO many helpful tricks and tips for our son, and is a calming font of knowledge on ALL things! We can't imagine what the first few months would have been like without Stacey, but are so grateful for her calm and lovely presence!

Having Stacey as part of my pregnancy care team made a tremendous difference in my postpartum experience. As a first-time mom with immediate family out of state, my husband and I felt incredibly supported by her - especially when our son arrived early during the busy holiday season. Stacey’s invaluable support began even before our son’s birth. Through her Newborn 101 class, she equipped us with essential knowledge to care for our baby and offered thoughtful recommendations for our registry, helping us feel confident and prepared. After our son was born, each of Stacey’s visits to our home was truly invaluable. Whether she was assisting with newborn care, helping with household tasks, giving us time to rest, or sharing helpful tips and resources, her presence made a meaningful difference during those early weeks. I would wholeheartedly recommend Stacey to any expecting parents!

Stacey at Southern RI Doula has completely transformed my postpartum experience. I would have been lost without her guidance and expertise. She is professional and genuine and my baby absolutely lights up when she sees her! Stacey uses an evidence based approach and has taught us so much about caring for our baby. We look forward to the days Stacey is here, and she always helps get us organized and truly cares for the entire family. I would absolutely recommend Stacey to any expecting parents!

Stacey was such a breath of fresh air during the postpartum period for our family. Our two year old fell in love with her and followed her around while she took care of various baby related tasks in our home so we could get some much-needed rest. She was a wealth of knowledge when it came to balancing caring for a toddler while enjoying our newborn and she even cooked some delicious meals for us! We cannot wait to welcome her into our home again we have another new baby in the house someday.

Stacey was such an important person for us during our first four weeks with our newborn and prior! When we first hired Stacey as a Postpartum Doula, we met and she shared recommendations for our registry that were safe & met our preferences. She visited us in our home when I was in my third trimester to review all the baby basics specifically with what we were working with! This included recommending how to set up our nursery to be efficient and safe for diaper changing, where/how to bathe our baby (we decided sink was best for the start), diapering, changing baby, swaddling with the swaddle we purchased, baby wearing with our carrier and more! She gave us a lot of confidence in being able to safely and lovingly care for our first born child. Although we felt pretty prepared, the tips and help Stacey provided was the “cherry on top.” When our baby was born, Stacey visited us 2 to 3 times per week! In this time I experienced some PPA and although my husband has been my rock, Stacey was able to relate to me and guide me/my husband gently through her compassionate and caring nature. I felt a lot better knowing how much of what I was experiencing was normal and that the support came from someone who is around new moms and babies all the time. Although she is not a therapist, I felt a lot better after just talking to her most days. She is down to Earth and listens with an open heart. Stacey is really such a loving and thoughtful person. She made us food every time she visited us including some of her own recipes and some things we found. This was such a relief as I am exclusively breast feeding and very much wanted it to be successful. She helped show me how to pump & store milk as well. When our baby presented a diaper rash, it was Stacey who recommended how we can best treat it and even helped to make a concoction using my breast milk mixed with one of our baby ointments! She guided us through tummy time and safe, age-appropriate play. She also went through all our baby toys & books to sort out what was safe and age appropriate. Stacey has so much knowledge and would shine light on things neither my husband or I would have known or considered. It was so wonderful having her guide and support us through those first four weeks and we miss her! I am sure I am missing some things she helped with as she did so much for us, and we are forever grateful. I will always remember how Stacey was there for us during those first few weeks!

We couldn’t have asked for better care than what Stacey and her daughter Mae provided over a visit to Newport for a wedding weekend. They watched our 5.5-month-old daughter and another family’s 3-year-old son, and everything went absolutely seamlessly. It was my first time so I was feeling a bit anxious but Stacey made sure to share updates and photos which really helped. From the moment we met them, we felt completely at ease — they were calm, kind, and incredibly professional. Stacey’s experience and Mae’s energy made the perfect team. We were able to fully enjoy the wedding knowing our little ones were in such loving hands. Truly grateful for their care — highly recommend them to any family looking for trustworthy, thoughtful childcare!

We decided to hire a postpartum doula after reading about all the benefits online. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but after a consultation with Stacy, I knew right away this was the right choice for us. It was a huge bonus that our insurance helped cover it as well! Stacy was with us during the most important and delicate early weeks of our newborn’s life. As first-time parents, we had so many questions and uncertainties. Stacy helped us understand what was normal, what to keep an eye on, and how to care for our baby with confidence. She was incredibly responsive, supportive, and easy to be around. Having someone in your space during such a vulnerable time can feel strange, but with Stacy, it never did. She felt like a true partner, and her presence was always comforting which also helped me postpartum. I still look back on that time so fondly. Hiring Stacy was one of the best decisions we made!

Stacey had been a Godsend for my husband and I when welcomed our first baby boy. Stacey met with us prior to the arrival of our baby for a newborn 101 chat which was super helpful to get ready to bring our little one home. Stacey was then with us for about a month and a half and it has been the best decision we ever made when it came to becoming new parents. Stacey was incredibly kind and sweet, and had a calming presence that really helped with our newborn anxiety. Stacey helped with everything from laundry, washing bottles and pump parts, organizing baby items, caring for baby when we needed extra hours of sleep, and even meal prepping some things. One of my favorite things about Stacey was looking to ways to reduce our stress so that we could focus on bonding with our baby. Not only did we learn so many tips and tricks from Stacey in raising our newborn, we were able to build confidence much quicker than we would have on our own. It took the guesswork out of being new parents and got us to point B without the exhausting trial and error. I would recommend Stacey >1000 times, her knowledge of babies is unmatched, and her demeanor and positive attitude was extremely appreciated during the newborn trenches. You would be doing a disservice to yourself if you do not meet her! My husband and I cannot thank Stacey enough!

Stacey was a total godsend for us! A friend who had met Stacey and was due a few weeks before me had hired her and told me about her and after she described Stacey and the services she offered I knew that we needed to immediately hire her. I hadn’t heard of a postpartum doula before that conversation. From the first phone call I felt such a connection with Stacey and feel so lucky to have found her. Her first day with us was a couple days after being home from the hospital and I quite honestly do not know how my husband and I would’ve survived without having her there to guide us through those first few weeks. She was such a calming presence and on days when I knew she was coming it was just the most complete sense of relief to know that I had the support that I needed to get through those first few weeks with a newborn. She did everything from allowing me to get some sleep, make breakfast, help meal prep, wash bottles, do laundry, but honestly, the most valuable things we got from Stacey was her knowledge and wisdom and support as we did things for the first time like - sponge bath, a real bath, swaddle, baby wearing, diaper changes and all of the things that you don’t really get a chance to learn in the hospital and you learn them in the classes, but it’s different on a real baby. It was also so great to have someone there to do continued education for my husband on things like diaper changes and baby wearing especially when I was sleep deprived and didn’t have the patience or capacity to remind him how to do things. He was able to work directly with Stacey and ask her questions that he had as he navigated his new role as a dad. We cannot recommend Stacey enough and I truly don’t know how people survive those first few weeks without the support of the post partum doula. We miss Stacey every single day and at the same time we’re so grateful for her because she really empowered us on our parenting journey.

We had Stacey watch our daughter for a wedding and we are not from Rhode Island. We were very nervous because it was the first time we had someone watching our daughter. After meeting Stacey she made us feel comfortable and she was very knowledgeable. Stacey sent a picture and a full update when we checked in. Our daughter connected with Stacey right away and we loved that. I would highly recommend Stacey. She was amazing and a pleasure to work with.

Stacey came to help the day after we welcomed our daughter home from the hospital. She instantly felt like family and her help in those early days, when we were fresh from the hospital with our first born, was crucial for both my husband’s and my mental health. We felt prepared to be parents but Stacey helped us through some things we hadn’t figured out yet with her years of knowledge and experience and our daughter was both sleeping and eating better after even the first visit. Stacey helped us figure out what items to purchase, where best to place things, and even helped give her first bath. She helped us sleep, eat, and feel a little more put together during a chaotic time so we had more time to soak in how special it was. Stacey is not just there for the moms, she also helped my husband build his confidence as he adjusted to caring for a newborn for the first time. Having someone that was comfortable around our dog (our first baby!) also helped ease our minds as we made the transition into our new life at home. I truly can’t say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Stacey, we’ll remember her forever and miss her every day!

Stacey was our postpartum doula from May through July 2024. She was absolutely fantastic! We started by meeting prior to birth and Stacey walked us through some baby basics. She also brought along some baby wearing wraps and helped us decide which worked best for us (we ended up returning the one we bought before Stacey came). Stacey came two days after we came home from the hospital. At that first session, after two rough nights at home, Stacey showed us how to swaddle our baby under her sleep sack. From then on, we had a great sleeper at night- getting long stretches of sleep. Stacey was a great resource and I really enjoyed our conversations. She would share tips and products that worked for other babies. She still sends us tips! She also provided reassurance that we were doing things right and offered guidance and support when we were unsure or unconfident. Stacey made our days so much easier. She would debrief on how are day was going, prepare breakfast for me, refill my water, make my bed, do laundry, bring me snacks, prepare my lunch, and prep dinner so it was easy for me to finish later in the day. She even made us an apple pie when she noticed my apples were beginning to go bad. Stacey was wonderful with our baby. She was able to calm her down and comfort her easily. She helped me give baths and kept my baby engaged in play. As I got further postpartum, I began to venture out while Stacey stayed home with my baby. It was so nice to be able to go to the gym, run errands, and take a shower without having to worry. I knew my baby was in good hands. Other than my mother, Stacey is the only person we trust with our baby. We weren’t sure about getting a doula and made the decision kind of last minute. We are so lucky that Stacey was able to take us on and help us as we became new parents and we are so happy that we had her support at such a transitional time. Stacey gave us the confidence to trust our instincts and guided us along the way. She really is the best!

This review has been so difficult to write because it’s simply impossible to put Stacey’s positive impact on my family and my postpartum time into words—it almost feels inadequate! Stacey is such a dream to work with—she helped prepare me for my twins by looking at my registry and making suggestions as well as supporting me through having the twins 6 weeks early, NICU time and being readmitted for severe preeclampsia. Once the babies were finally home, it was easy to schedule hours with her and we immediately developed a regular routine with Stacey. She is approachable, kind and deeply trustworthy. I trusted her more than I trusted myself with the care of my infants. She helped us set up bottle, nap, sleep, bath and activity routines for two babies at once, all while supporting me and my husband as I recovered from surgery and navigated a new life with two infants. She essentially helped me become a parent—she answered all my silly questions throughout the day—provided support when she was at my home and when she was not there by checking in—and became such an integral part of the success of our family. If you’re thinking of hiring Stacey as a doula JUMP at the opportunity. She is simply incredible in every way—kind, yet easy going and so very caring. Just hire her! She was a dream to have as a doula. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Stacey has been amazing with our little girl. I am a first time mom and Stacey provided a lot of guidance and tips to help me as I navigate motherhood. She provided great resources in books, links to websites, and personal advice. She got along really well with our daughter and went above and beyond with reaching out to see how things were going when she wasn't around. Highly recommend using her services if in the Southern RI area and needing help.

Stacey is an absolutely incredible, trustworthy, caring and kind human being who we welcomed into our home 1.5 months post partum with our first baby. She was an invaluable part of my recovery process and I'm forever grateful for her dedication and support. She is in the most perfect role as a postpartum doula and taught me so much as a new mom. She is the reason we were able to really learn our babies cues and provided the most perfect resources to us as we navigated challenging moments. We continue to sing her praises and would highly recommend her to any family seeking post partum support. We will continue to seek her amazing support as we grow our family. Words can't express how truly thankful we are for her helping hand!

Stacey has been amazing. I'm a first time mom with no family in the surrounding area, but she's helped me feel so much more confident that my baby's doing well. She also goes above and beyond and will bring extra little tidbits, like books, about something I've felt anxious about. I was nervous about going back to work at nine weeks postpartum, but she took excellent care of my son and eased the "going back to work" anxiety. My son got a little bit of stranger danger after his baptism and all the family that came in, and Stacey's helped him work through all of that. She's flexible with whatever parenting style you choose, professional, and kind. If I had to go back, I would definitely pick her again.

Stacey made such a difference in me and my new family’s life. I can’t understate the value of having a soothing presence like Stacey’s when you’re going through the newness of a newborn, it’s good moments and all the sleep deprivation and down moods too. It’s really not just for mom, it’s so helpful for the new dad to have someone to talk to about what’s normal or not, and was a very helpful third party for making decisions in the early days. Stacey really helped me establish a routine with my baby and household, and also educated me on his needs when all the info was overwhelming. We will definitely call her back for baby no. 2!

After a baby is born, the health and well-being of mom often falls off the radar for mainstream health care. While everyone else focuses on the adorable baby (deservedly so), a postpartum doula centers on the overall well-being of the mom (and dad). I would say a post partum doula is a must-have part of "the village" everyone often speaks of. Stacey was a game changer for me in the days following the birth of my first daughter. Investing in a postpartum doula (with the help of my insurance! If you live in RI, most insurances will cover) was the single best thing i did for myself in the post partum days. While is was only a few short weeks, it helped my mental and physical health and i cannot recommend it enough. My husband returned to work after a short paternity leave, and I was home alone with my baby. We hadn't yet perfected her latch for breastfeeding, and I was trying to juggle pumping to keep my supply up which was difficult while also taking care of a baby who only wanted contact naps. During long nights with a newborn where I desperately needed sleep, I would look forward to the days Stacey would join me so I could get some much-needed rest. Stacey helped with dishes, folded and put away my baby's laundry, she helped take care of the baby while I got some rest (or needed a minute to myself to grab a quick cup of coffee). She gave me so many valuable tips and tricks for breastfeeding and taking care of my baby (nap recommendations, swaddling recommendations) and was such a warm presence in the sometimes isolating "fourth trimester." She helped me feel confident in taking care of my baby alone--as a first time mom those first days alone felt overwhelming and scary. I am so happy she was part of our home during that precious time. Those first months as a new parent can feel overwhelming and Stacey is the best person to help support you and whatever you need to make sure you're happy so you an be your best self for your baby.

Stacey was the best thing that ever happened to us when we brought our newborn home. From helping with bath time to doing light chores such as laundry and organizing to watching our daughter so I could take a nap, she helped me through the toughest days. Having another experienced mom in the house was a blessing. Just being able to sit and talk or take a walk with Stacey was a nice treat. She also spent time with my husband and helped helped him gain confidence with handling our daughter. I recommend Stacey to every mom I know. She is a true blessing to the doula world!

Stacey was incredibly helpful during our postpartum period. She was with us weeks 8 - 24 and we could not have been in better hands. Her guidance and help to keep us running smoothly was cherished and provided much relief. Not only were we first time parents but work transition and moving into a new house things were chaotic and Stacey helped us get through it. Her passion comes through in the way she took care of myself and our son that I am forever grateful. We will be seeking her help again for baby 2!

Stacey from Southern RI Doula immensely supported my family after the birth of our children and throughout their toddlerhoods. I couldn't recommend someone better! She was incredibly respectful of our wishes and parenting preferences, always asking questions beforehand. She is a kind and gentle soul who loves babies and children, going above and beyond the expectation. I highly recommend Stacey as a postpartum doula!

I highly recommend working with Stacey for any parents of newborns! Her support started when my son was just a few days old and was instrumental in helping us adjust to life with a newborn. From sharing tips and insights on infant care, offering encouragement for breastfeeding and managing visitors, helping us around the house in those first few hazy months, or caring for our baby so we could get rest - every moment with her played a huge role in helping us feel comfortable and confident as new parents and definitely had a positive impact on our mental health. She is warm and calm and instantly feels a part of your family!
