About me

Hi families! My name is Selina, I am 23 years old, born and raised in San Francisco. I am a current nursing student at the University of San Francisco pursuing my degree in Nursing. I am currently a Postnatal Care Specialist, in the process of earning my postpartum doula certification, and eventually a labor and delivery nurse! My passion for newborn care came to me when I went through a traumatic experience where I didn't have any support when I needed it the most. I then came across the Village Retreat Center in San Francisco, where I currently am employed part time, and realized how much support and words of encouragement can go a long way. My experience thus far has put me in a position where I am glad to be able to be that person in a room to lend a helping hand to give support and words of encourage along the way in families' journeys.

Service introduction

Hi family, I am here to provide overnight support to you and your baby. Whether you need help with breastfeeding positions, reminders to pump, pace bottle feeding, diapering, safe sleeping, or even to get a good nights rest, I am your person! I can help with tidying up the nursery, sanitizing bottles/pump parts, offer support, and any baby related care! I will always keep track of feeding times, diaper changes (pee, poo, mixed, or dry), and will always relay how the night went in a text or chart (whatever family prefers)!

I've had the pleasure to work alongside Selina and have grown fond of her worth ethic as a colleague and friend. Her upbeat personality, attention to detail, and ability to read the room during tender moments while working with families truly demonstrates her emotional intelligence and overall competence. And having a background in nursing and postnatal care assures she'd be an amazing fit for all expecting families. Would highly recommend :)
