As the founder of The Birthing Bee Doula and Childbirth Education Services, I bring wealth of knowledge and passion to my role as a birth doula and childbirth educator. My compassionate and empathetic nature helps ease anxieties, guide families through the birth process, and provide reassurance every step of the way. My passion for empowering women extends beyond individual support. As a childbirth educator, I'm committed to equipping expectant parents with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions and advocate for their own birth experiences. I strive to be a beacon of support and empowerment for expectant parents in the Charlotte area and beyond. With my support families can navigate the beautiful journey of childbirth with confidence and grace.
Marcia has been such a blessing to my new little family. My husband and I are young first time parents. We knew we wanted extra support for the birth of our son, and from the time we met Marcia. We knew she was the right fit for us. She has been available for support 24/7 from the moment we signed on to work with her and even now with me in the 4th trimester. She played such an instrumental role in my pregnancy & birthing experience. From her evidence based research that she supplied us with, in order to allow us as parents to be knowledgeable/make the best decision for our family. All the way to just being a listening ear. I could go on and on but I will just say, I am so happy we invested in the birthing bee. The value we received was priceless

I am so happy you are here! My name is Laurynn. I am a birthkeeper and student midwife serving families in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas. I offer antenatal support through various services including birth and postpartum doula, birth planning, lactation support, and placenta encapsulation. I am happily married to my other half, Colin, and have a daughter, Olive, born at Natural Beginnings Birth Center in 2023 as well as a son, Finn, born at home this past September. I believe that birth is a sacred rite of passage to be respected and honored, I encourage and love the inner wild woman in her most vulnerable space, and I believe in the innate ability and intuitive nature of her body and her baby during the whole process. The birth of my daughter and son have opened doors in my soul that I didn’t know existed, and in response, I have developed an extreme passion for helping women and their families feel empowered, safe, and nurtured during birth. Whether you have had previous birth trauma, you want to achieve your first homebirth, or you want to birth in the hospital, my goal is to have you leaving your experience feeling powerful, happy, accomplished, and that you had a voice that was heard and respected by your provider. I’m beyond excited to connect with you, hear your story, and find out more about your desires for your birth!
I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for having Laurynn by my side throughout my birth experience. From the moment we first met, her warmth, kindness, and deep care for both me and my family were evident. She wasn’t just a doula; she became an integral part of our journey, providing support, education, and love every step of the way. Laurynn advocated for me when I needed it most, ensuring that my voice was heard, and I felt empowered to make the best decisions for myself and my baby. Her presence was not only a source of strength for me but also for my husband, who benefited greatly from her guidance and reassurance. With Laurynn’s help, I was able to achieve the unmedicated birth I had always hoped for, and it was truly a beautiful and empowering experience. I couldn’t have done it without her. She is more than just a doula; she is a gift, and we are forever thankful for her unwavering dedication and love

Hi, I’m Robin—Founder of Robin’s Cradle, your full-spectrum doula for the entire pregnancy journey. It’s an honor to support and uplift your birthing vision. I’m here to provide compassionate, personalized care—before, during, and after birth—without judgment and with your goals at the center. My calling started early, long before I knew what the word “doula” even meant. Supporting loved ones through pregnancy lit a spark in me that’s only grown stronger over the years. That spark became Robin’s Cradle, where I now lead a passionate team of doulas, creating a circle of care for families across North Carolina. My background blends education, healthcare strategy, and a deep heart for birthwork. I earned degrees in Health Administration, Project Management, and Business, and bring over two decades of experience working in health systems, policy, and advocacy. I use all of it to champion birthing people—especially in communities that need it most. At Robin’s Cradle, we don’t tell you how to birth—we help you uncover the power you already have. You were designed for this. And we’re here to help you walk in that truth, every step of the way.
I cannot say enough about Robin. I truly believe the good Lord led me to her and I’m so very grateful. She goes above and beyond for her clients and I cannot imagine my pregnancy, birth and postpartum without her. If you are pregnant or thinking about being pregnant, Robin is the best doula and encouragement! She spreads love, light and knowledge. I highly recommend and if I do this again, she will be one of the first people on my list to call.

I am a birth and postpartum doula serving all types of families and birthing people in the Charlotte area. A deeply held belief in intersectionality guided my path to this line of service. As a Black, queer, childless woman, I want to give others the encouragement to advocate for themselves and have the birthing and postpartum experience they dream of. Birth equity is only achievable when the entire person is acknowledged, including their experiences within the racial and social areas of healthcare. Outside of doula work, I recently received an MS in human nutrition. I also offer 1-on-1 wellness guidance sessions where we focus on designing the path to your nutrition goals. All of my offerings are specific to each client's needs and I emphasize our collaborative relationship in order to achieve milestones. Don't hesitate to reach out if something resonates with you! I can't wait to meet you!

Greetings! I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and share some facts about the role of a "Doula" or a "Birth Companion". First of all, you can call me Doula Komla (aka, Tabetha Cunningham). I have approximately 33 years of experience in the Human Services field, but in May of 2021 I answered the call to become a Certified Wholistic Birth Doula. I had the awesome pleasure of studying under Mama Mawusi Ashshakir, founder of The Mothership. What is a doula, you may ask. A doula is a trained companion who supports women through pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, lactation and other postpartum events. This is a huge undertaking for me but I am so excited to share what I've learned and to support women through the birthing process. I am currently offering my services at discounted rates and for a short amount of time I will tailor services to meet your budget. If you have questions or want to learn more about what I do, please contact me! Let's birth some babies!! KOMLA

Hello friends!! I wanted to properly introduce myself. My name is Kendall Francis. I am a christian certified birth doula. I serve mama’s in the Fort Mill and Charlotte surrounding areas during pregnancy and postpartum. I am married to my best friend, Collin Francis and we just had the most perfect baby girl, Saylor Grace Francis, born at home on July 31st, 2022. Our hearts are so full! I became a doula because I am so passionate about everything pregnancy and birth but most importantly because I believe women and their families need such a strong support system during this season in their life. I worked in the hospital system for almost 4 years on several different units from ER to maternity, went to nursing school and got my LPN degree all to realize I wanted nothing more than to support women holistically. I believe with all my heart that it is OUR decision as women how our pregnancy journey should turn out and WE have the control, not our providers. That is where I come in as your doula to help educate and advocate for you every step of the way no matter what you decide for your birth. Whether that be at home, at a birthing center or a hospital, I will be by your side. If you would like to connect and talk more about your dream birth feel free to send me a message! I am so excited to meet you and your family!
Kendall is truly one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. From the moment I met her I knew I wanted her as my doula. She made me feel loved, comforted, cared for, amongst so many other things. For my birth, she came as soon as I felt I needed support and stayed through the postpartum period, over 24 hours. She didn’t even talk about leaving me during this time and stayed through it ALL. She supported every decision I made, encouraged me to make position changes to help progress my labor, prayed over me, held a fan to my face for HOURS, spoke kindly and softly and was just everything I needed. She started as my doula and I now consider her one of my closest friends. I love her so much. She’s truly made for this!

Hi, I’m Julie. I’m so glad you’re here! My passion for birth and motherhood started at a young age. All I ever wanted to be was a mom. After I had my fifth baby I felt sad realizing that this part of my life was over. I soon discovered that my calling to serve mamas as a birth doula however was just beginning. My hubby has been there beside me through it all as our children have been born naturally in both hospital and home settings. I use that firsthand knowledge now to serve you with not just my rigorous training and certification through Birth Arts International, but also through my own personal experience. I was introduced to essential oils in 2014, and every day since then has been a family journey to more natural patterns of health and wellness. I have seen and experienced success time after time using the oils throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and with a newborn. I feel confident in my ability to protect my family’s health no matter what is going on around us, and that’s something I enjoy paying forward to other moms and families.
