I am a Certified Professional Midwife specializing in natural birth in your home. I offer: - primary midwifery care during your prenatal, birth and postpartum period - two fully trained midwives attending you at birth - water birth - and so much more My care is personalized, caring, evidence-based and full of information. I focus on holistic and preventive care rooted in good nutrition and healthy habits to help you maintain optimal health for you and your baby. I think of my self as an educator and guide as much as a clinician. I value conversation and want to you know your preferences, plans wishes and questions and shared decision-making. Long appointments allow us to build a strong and trusting relationship, and allows us to answer all your questions and go deep into what you need in this pregnancy. We offer prenatal, home birth and postpartum and lactation care to clients in Washington DC and surrounding MD suburbs and northern Virginia near DC.

Global Home Birth Care
Our Midwives provide personalized, holistic care throughout the pregnancy, labor and birth, and postpartum period. Our goal is to empower you with information and support to make the best decisions for you and your family, and support your birth in the space in which you feel most comfortable - your home. You can expect the highest from our midwives, including: *Hour-long visits *Personalized, evidence-based care *24-hour emergency telephone access to your midwife throughout your pregnancy *On-call availability from 37 weeks to attend your birth *Labor and birth care by two midwives who you know and trust *Clinical care for your newborn at home *Five postpartum visits in the first six weeks including parent and newborn clinical care, feeding support, and family integration support *Additional breastfeeding support visits, as necessary *A loaned birth tub, if you wish to have a water birth *Extended postpartum care until 3 months after birth For those who are not able to pay the full price, we offer sliding scale rates.

Complete Postpartum Support Package
If you prefer to have a hospital birth, we can care for you after you have had your baby in the comfort of your own home. Postpartum appointments include parent and newborn clinical care, feeding support, newborn care guidance, mental/emotional health check ins, family integration support and birth story processing in the comfort of your own home. We also highly recommend a postpartum planning session during your pregnancy in which we talk about setting yourself up well for a good postpartum period, which includes: postpartum support planning, realistic recovery, expectations setting, breastfeeding 101, postpartum nutrition, etc. All packages include a discount off á la carte rates. All appointments are one hour long. The Complete Postpartum Support Package includes: *1 in-office or virtual postpartum planning session *3 in-home postpartum visits in your first 3 weeks at home *2 in-office or virtual postpartum visits around 4 weeks and 10 weeks
