Hi, I’m Sai, a birth and postpartum doula, infant care specialist, and mom of four. My journey into this work began through my own lived experience with postpartum depression and anxiety, which opened my eyes to how deeply parents need support during pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood, and how often they’re expected to navigate it alone. For over five years, I’ve supported families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with compassionate, nonjudgmental, and evidence-based care. As a birth doula, I provide emotional support, education, advocacy, comfort measures, and a calming presence throughout labor and delivery, helping families feel informed, empowered, and supported every step of the way. My postpartum work focuses on newborn care, recovery support, feeding guidance, and helping parents adjust with confidence during those early weeks at home. Before becoming a doula, I spent more than 15 years working with children as a special education teacher assistant and childcare supervisor, which gave me a strong foundation in infant development, family-centered care, and supporting children with diverse needs. I’m especially passionate about maternal mental health, birth equity, and ensuring that every parent, regardless of background, has access to respectful, nurturing care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Being part of BornBir feels like a natural extension of my mission, and I’m grateful to grow within a community that centers families, advocacy, and healing.

As new parents, entrusting someone with the overnight care of our newborn was a major leap of faith. We were blessed to find Ossai. She was not only loving, attentive and nurturing to our baby girl - she made us both feel very at ease, and was helpful and supportive toward my wife in so many ways as far as her postpartum needs. Ossai is a great communicator, and sent us a detailed text every morning just before leaving, detailing the past night. Above all else, Ossai is just a naturally warm and comforting person. She led with love, cared for all of us, and is welcome back in our home anytime.

Sai was wonderful to work with! Our daughter was having a really hard time sleeping independently and with Sai's help we got some much needed rest for weary parents and some good independent baby sleep skills!

Ossai was such a calm and comforting presence in our house after bringing our son home. I was a little nervous about leaving my newborn with someone I’d only met briefly, but Ossai’s gentle and warm demeanor made my husband and I feel at ease immediately. We were able to get some much needed rest during the initial newborn weeks thanks to Ossai!

Ossai was an absolute lifesaver for my family. She provided comfort, calm, and care for us overnight when we needed sleep the most. I knew my baby boy was in good hands. Even when he had to have his tongue tie released and required exercises every few hours, she was happy to help. Would definitely recommend her!

Ossai was a wonderful and supportive postpartum doula for me, my husband, and our newborn twins. She was a calming presence for us, the twins took to her so easily, and she was very knowledgeable about newborn care and newborn sleep. We loved working with her during those first few months and would highly recommend.

I was unsure about having my placenta encapsulated and I was around 3 weeks postpartum and I wanted a service nearby, i didn’t want to send it off like a package, I felt like i was running out of time to get it encapsulated but i thankfully found Grace & Harmony services near me and she was close to where i live, super friendly and warming, fast service and very punctual & communicative, pills were packed very nicely and she even made a watercolor picture of my placenta. 5 stars definitely. 👏🏽
