Amanda of Avocado Doula, completed DONA International doula training to support one of her closest friends as she brought her baby into the world. Amanda is working to provide birth and postpartum doula services to the Fargo-Moorhead area. This summer Amanda also became the first Evidence Based Birth® Instructor in the state of North Dakota. Amanda is dedicated to educating, empowering, and supporting birthing people and their partners before, during, and after the birth of their baby.
Amanda Pieters was my doula at the birth of my son. She was tremendously kind, insightful, and helpful. She provided me with education, help, and resources on pregnancy, labor and lactation. She has a kind heart and is a genuine soul who takes her work very seriously. It was an honor to have her at my birth. Anyone who is looking for a doula, I would highly recommend Amanda.

Hello! My name is Kathy Paul and I am a certified birth doula in the Bismarck/Mandan, ND area. I am also VBAC certified and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. I have also taken training in Spinning Babies, which greatly informs how I support clients in having more comfortable and faster birthing experiences. I have become extremely passionate about homebirth and birth choices for families. It is an honor to walk along-side these families and remind them of the choices they can make in their birthing journey!
Kathy made my birth experience the second time around so much better! She helped me manage the pain, supported me through all my choices and advocated for me! I also loved how she helped make the room more comfy with twinkling Christmas lights! 100% recommend Kathy as a birth doula!!!

I have always enjoyed helping others. I started my training in the medical field at the young age of 17 when I became a Certified Nurse Assistant. I continued my studies and became a Certified Medical Assistant, Although pregnancy was not easy for my body I thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant. With each pregnancy I was taught natural ways to cope and how to give my body what it needed. This gave me the desire to help other women, that desire continued to grow through each of my 5 pregnancies/ births to the point that I delivered my last baby unassisted and was able to catch her myself. I began my formal training with DONA in 2022 and became a certified birth doula in 2023. I have since worked with 4 midwives. in doing so I have gained great hands on experience and knowledge. I have been blessed to help many women through their own birth experiences. I look forward to continuing to serve and empower women for years to come. I want to continue the tradition of empowering and enriching women’s pregnancies and births, like my midwives did for me. Being a doula I get to do just that
I had Stephanie as my doula a couple years ago and right from the start I knew it was the right decision! My pregnancy was not easy, but Stephanie was there with words of encouragement, kindness and no judgment. When it came time to deliver, she was at my bedside with lots of trips and tricks up her sleeve! In times where she needed to help relax me, she was able to relax my husband too! She was never pushy, never made me try something I did not want to do and most importantly, she was kind and respectful not only to our family but to our doctor and the hospital staff as well! If we ever choose to get pregnant again, the moment we find out I am calling 2 people...our daycare to get on the waiting list and Stephanie to make sure she is with us every step of the way!

Hello! I’m Amber Hage, a birth and postpartum doula, birth photographer, placenta encapsulator, and pediatric sleep consultant based in Fargo, North Dakota. I’m also the founder of Fargo Birth, where I work alongside an amazing team (including my sister!) to support families during one of the most powerful seasons of life. I’m passionate about creating a calm, confident, and personalized birth and postpartum experience—whether through hands-on support, beautiful birth images, or helping tired parents get some much-needed sleep. With a background in business, education, and entrepreneurship, I love merging heart and strategy to serve families well. When I’m not supporting clients, I’m running a lawn care company with my husband or helping my son with his magnet business, Stick with Parker. In my free time, you’ll find me learning something new, watching reality tv, or laughing with my kids.
