Hi everyone! My name is Megan Swanson and I am a birth and postpartum doula located in Eastern Iowa. I founded The Jubilant Doula after experiencing the joy of birthing my son in my home in 2023. The moment he was born, my love for supporting mothers and families was too! I believe birth can and should be a joyful experience for everyone involved. As a doula, I will provide physical, educational, and emotional support and point you in the direction of evidence-based information for you to achieve your ideal birth outcome. I would love to partner with you as you grow your beautiful family!

As a birth and postpartum doula, I offer services in both of these areas. I provide support during pregnancy, support during labor itself, and postpartum care.

- 3 (1.5 hour) prenatal visits to discuss educational resources, intentions for labor, comfort techniques, and postpartum needs/assistance - Assistance creating a personalized birth plan - Continued communication during pregnancy via text, phone or email to answer questions and provide resources & referrals - 24/7 phone or text support from 37 weeks on - Continuous in-person support during labor - Immediate post-birth & feeding support - List of local and virtual resources related to pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and newborn/family care - Evidence-based information, tips, recommended products, and learning material when preparing for a new baby - 1 (2-hour) session of in-home postpartum support - 1 nutritious postpartum meal - Personalized plan for postpartum support (minimum of 12 hours of care starting at $30/hour) --> includes lactation support, light housekeeping, family/sibling care, newborn care, meal and snack-prepping, & more
