Leah is amazing! She’s very knowledgeable and has a very calming presence. She has taught me so much & the problems I initially called her for have been resolved.
- Jessica Santaniello
Leah was recommended to me by my midwife shortly after I gave birth to my first baby, and I truly can’t imagine navigating those early days without her. From our very first session, she made me feel completely at ease and confident. She walked me through the fundamentals of successful latching and breastfeeding in a way that was clear, approachable, and perfectly suited for an exhausted, newly postpartum mom. No question felt too small—she answered everything calmly and thoroughly, always reassuring me that both my baby and I were doing well. One of the things I appreciated most was how Leah followed up each visit with detailed notes covering everything we discussed. In those early, sleep-deprived weeks, that level of support was invaluable. Beyond breastfeeding, Leah was an incredible resource for all things newborn-related. She created such a judgment-free, supportive environment—whether my house was chaotic, dogs were climbing on her, or visitors were coming and going, she remained completely present and unbothered. Her calm, grounded presence made it easy to open up and ask anything I was unsure about. As I prepared to return to work, Leah continued to go above and beyond. She helped me establish a pumping schedule, walked through my pump setup, and even troubleshot different bottles and nipples to find what worked best for my baby. She consistently made it clear that I could reach out anytime, and she truly meant it—never once making me feel like a burden. I cannot recommend Leah highly enough. I genuinely believe that if more new moms had access to her level of care and support in those first one to two weeks postpartum, there would be far more successful and confident breastfeeding journeys.
- Hannah Ashcroft
Leah at SOS Lactation is amazing. She’s incredibly patient, easy to communicate with, and focuses on what works best for you and your baby. I never felt rushed—just fully supported starting my breastfeeding journey!
- Vesali Ellango
We contacted Leah a few weeks postpartum to help improve our breastfeeding experience. After our initial consultation, our latch improved exponentially. She also supported us as we began introducing bottle feeding. Leah was very approachable and provided thorough follow-up notes after each visit. Both at-home sessions lasted about two hours, and she never made us feel rushed. We're very appreciative of Leah and would recommend her to anyone needing lactation support.
- Nataly Torres
I cannot say enough positive things about Leah at SOS Lactation. I initially contacted her over the weekend, and she was in my living room helping me in less than 24 hours when I was truly in a pinch. She is extremely knowledgeable and was so supportive throughout my feeding journey. I truly could not have done it without her and am beyond grateful for her care and expertise!
- Kyndi Holcomb
As a first-time mom, I was completely clueless when it came to breastfeeding. From the very beginning, she took the time to ask about my goals and really listened to what I wanted. When she came to my home, she was extremely respectful, professional, and mindful of boundaries, which made me feel comfortable right away. She explained everything clearly and never made me feel rushed or judged. Her support gave me confidence and made a big difference in my breastfeeding journey. I’m very grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to other new moms.

I can’t say enough good things about Leah at SOS Lactation. From the very first contact, she was incredibly responsive and was able to schedule me within a day, which was such a relief during an already stressful time. During our appointment, she asked just the right amount of questions about my background and my baby’s history—thorough without ever feeling overwhelming. Leah did a complete, thoughtful assessment of both my baby and me, and then walked me step-by-step through achieving a better latch. I especially appreciated how she physically demonstrated the techniques and then coached me from a short distance so I could confidently do it myself with the proper movements and angles. That hands-on approach made a huge difference for my comfort and confidence. She also provided clear, practical instructions for breast care, what milestones to look for to track improvement, and exactly what next steps would be if those milestones weren’t being met. Between our first visit and my follow-up session, new issues came up, and I was so grateful for how responsive Leah was via text. She provided timely guidance and reassurance that made an overwhelming moment feel completely manageable. I left feeling informed, supported, and empowered rather than overwhelmed. Leah truly goes above and beyond, and I would highly recommend SOS Lactation to any new parent looking for expert, compassionate care.
- Kelsy Collins
I cannot recommend Leah enough! As a first-time mom, the early weeks of breastfeeding were incredibly challenging for me, and I honestly felt overwhelmed at times. Leah was calm, confident, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. She navigated me through some tough situations, providing practical advice and emotional reassurance that truly saved my breastfeeding journey multiple times. Her expertise and encouragement were like a lifeline during those first few weeks postpartum. She made me feel empowered and capable, helping me build my confidence as a new mother. Thanks to Leah's guidance, I am happily breastfeeding and thriving! If you’re looking for a lactation consultant who is knowledgeable and compassionate, I highly recommend Leah. She truly is a lifesaver!

I wish I would have found Leah with my first two babies! Breastfeeding has always been the hardest part of motherhood for me. I really struggled with my first two babies. For my third baby, Leah was recommended by a neighbor, and I called her in tears one Friday morning. She came over the same day and was at my house until 9pm on a Friday night. She didn’t rush. She listened to my story and my concerns, and we created a plan. I felt so refreshed when she left - like I might actually have a chance at a successful breastfeeding journey! We are currently 6 months in with an exclusively breastfed baby and almost 1,000 ounces in the freezer! After having two breast reductions, I truly didn’t think this would be possible! Leah is amazing and has helped guide me every step of the way! She has made this dream a reality!! I cannot thank her enough!!!
- Colby Parker
I’m a local Midwife and have worked with Leah. I’m so thankful she commutes to my clients and provides excellent care. She goes over and beyond. Thanks Leah for all you do for our families.
- Faren Foley
Leah is fantastic! She came highly recommended from my pediatrician after she noticed my newborn had a slight younger tie. We also had some complications right after birth that majorly impacted my ability to breast feed and pump. I reached out to Leah and able to have her see us the same week. It was easy to fill out the insurance verification and luckily my visits were covered making me only responsible for the travel fee. However, pricing is fairly reasonable even if your insurance doesn’t offer coverage. Leah is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The convenience of in home visits is also great. Due to her guidance I was able to revive my milk production and my baby is doing amazing! If you are struggling with breast feeding or any other lactation issues contact Leah and you won’t be disappointed.
- Anastacia Deckard
Leah has worked with me for 2 of my children feeding journeys; in 2021 and in 2025. In 2021 she identified my daughter's extreme ties and helped connect me with professionals that would help her. I took her advice with caution and also saw an ENT. The ENT told me it wasn't real.... I finally tried the tie revision anyway because she dropped fro 97% to the 32% and 5 minutes after the ties were fixed she ate a full bottle with no issues. Leah was dead on. In 2025 I listened much more quickly. Leah has help me maintain my milk supply this time even through ties. I have had significant medical issues that she has help me identify and while I am taking care of them (which affected much more then my milk supply but also really hurt my supply), She has help me protect and increase my milk supply so that I could feed my son. On top of that, she has help me be much more comfortable at the pump and saved me a lot of time and money trying to figure out what would work for me. Finally, she helped me bill insurance so that this has all been covered. She comes to my home which has made me so much more comfortable and honestly made our appointments and this breastfeeding journey possible with my other children. I am so grateful. I really feel as though Leah has cared about my breastfeeding journey as much as I do and worked with me each step of the way. I am now 5 months postpartum and still going strong.
- Madelyn May
Leah is phenomenal! I have worked with her twice now and she has been a tremendous aid in helping our little ones overcome tongue ties. There is no one else I would recommend for new or not so new moms who need help with breastfeeding!!!
- She McClean
Leah is awesome. The advice she gives is very helpful! She focuses on you and your baby’s needs. I’m glad I contacted her.
- Peggy Sha
Leah and her Intern were amazing! I felt really lost on my breastfeeding journey and she help me a lot after just one visit. She taught us a lot of things about bottle feeding, breast pumps, taught us a few oral exercises to strengthen my baby’s latch, and gave us a guide of things we could do at home. I highly recommend Leah if you’re having any struggles with breastfeeding.
- Paulina Miranda
Breastfeeding can be such a challenge, especially for new mothers. I am so grateful to Leah with SOS lactation. During such a stressful time she responded to me immediately and made a home visit just two days after I reached out to her. She spent her time with me and identified the root of what was going on. I appreciated her going out of her way to assist me and I especially appreciated her open mind to different options. She was never bothered if I reached out to her with questions after my initial visit and follow ups with her. There are times she would reach out to me herself to check in with me. It’s apparent she is experienced and truly cares for what she does. I highly recommend her !!!
- Hanein Taher-Saifuddin
Leah was great and really answered my SOS! She was very professional and thorough. I liked that she did a weighted feed so I could get that reassurance how much my baby was eating and she taught us some oral exercises to strengthen her latch and make for more efficient feeding. Highly recommend Leah if you’re having any struggles with breastfeeding or just need that extra bit of coaching. Truly the hospitals just hand you a baby and give you a crash course and send you off… everyone can benefit from additional education and support once you get home.
- Ariana Cannizzo
Leah is extremely knowledgeable is all areas breast feeding and baby care. I left the hospital in pain, confused and overwhelmed with my breast feeding journey. I was referred Leah (sos lactation) by my doula. She came the same day I called her and spent almost 2 hours with me at my house educating me. Afterwards I felt so empowered! I’m now two weeks post appointment and Leah has followed up with me several times to make sure things are still going ok (I am doing much more than ok). I cannot recommend her enough!!!
- Kara Armstrong
I was recommended Leah by a few neighbors around the area after I was desperately seeking help with my 3 month old who wouldn’t take a bottle. Leah was available the same day I called. She is so calm, patient and professional. Just in that first sitting our baby took a bottle! Her tips have really helped and our baby has taken a bottle every day since we met with Leah. She also suggested other exercises we should do to continue her development. We can’t wait to continue to see her progress. I’d recommend Leah to anyone with feeding issues! BCBS of Texas was accepted to submit a claim for the bill.
- Valeria Gonzalez
Leah and her team are very skilled and have a well-balanced mindset. She has been very supportive and has gone above and beyond!
- Mylinh Tran
Leah was a great resource for my family as we dealt with my son's oral ties and breastfeeding issues. I looked forward to working with her every time because she is so nice and amazing with my son! She has so much experience with oral ties in babies and helped us understand the whole process of the procedure and helped us after the procedure to ensure we got the best results. I am extremely grateful for the results we are seeing now post procedure! I would highly recommend Leah for all breastfeeding support!
- Blanca Sanchez
Leah has been such a huge help to us through our breastfeeding journey. Our initial meeting with Leah, she came to our home and spent time working on baby’s latch, asked us if we need help with anything else and provided detailed information on everything we had questions about. We were nervous to let anyone into our home with a newborn but Leah made us feel overly comfortable by practicing extreme cleanliness, constantly sanitizing, wiping down and washing hands! I still call and text Leah with any questions I have. Also booked a phone meeting that was very informative and answered all of my questions/concerns. Leah is very calm and very knowledgeable which is so important for a BF mom. She not only gives information and guidance but also peace and comfort. Highly recommend her services!
- Ashley James
Leah is such an angel and we are so happy for her continued support. I had breastfeeding issues very early on and Leah was able to come to our home so quickly to help us resolve our issues. I love that she wants to make sure you continue to reach your goals with breastfeeding and that there is always follow-up after consultation. I really thank Leah for the success my baby and I have had with breastfeeding thus far and know if I run into any roadblocks along the way, she will be there for us. Thank you Leah!!
- Jasmine Pierreauguste
She was knowledgeable and had amazing bed side manners. She took her time to truly understand my problem and offered so many potential solutions ! Highly recommend!! I was referred to her by a different lactation consultant
- Sumaiya Kassim
Leah is incredibly knowledgeable and professional! So happy to find her and have a home visit. She is very thorough in identifying not just the issue, but the possible underlying causes. She left us with the tools we needed to work with our baby to improve. After a week of work, our baby is feeding with a better latch and much more efficiently. Thank you Leah!!!
- Jill Del Rossi
My son was not gaining weight due to tongue and lip ties and supply issues on my part. Finally I called Leah who encouraged me to have the ties addressed and came up with a multi-prong strategy to increase my supply. He started steadily gaining weight and is still happily nursing at 15 months old! Thank you Leah.
- Vanetta Christ
I probably wouldn't be breastfeeding my baby if it wasn't for Leah! She is absolutely incredible. My baby had a tongue and lip tie release which caused choking issues while nursing, very scary for a first time mom. I messaged her early in the morning on a Monday and had an appointment that same day. With one session not only was I able to have my baby latch correctly (which immediately stopped the choking) but Leah also took the time to check my pumping, tummy time, among other mom/baby activities. Also, it gave me a peace of mind to see she has a disinfecting protocol that she follows meticulously during her visit. She disinfects everything she uses, wears a mask at all times, and uses alcohol on her hands before holding your baby. My family and I are forever grateful for her help, she truly is the best lactation consultant in Houston.
- Gabriela Soto
I can not recommend SOS's services enough! I had a little bit of a latch issue right from birth and by 2 weeks it had not improved and I was struggling with some pain. While my husband was a teeny bit reluctant to hire someone extra to come over during COVID (especially since we already had a very knowledgeable and wonderful midwife) - he ended up raving about Leah even more than I did and is very glad we called her! He was blown away with her professionalism, her calming demeanor, and her excellent communication skills - making it easy for us to learn a lot from her in one visit. I phoned for support one evening and received in-person care the very next day. Leah arrived with mask and gloves, sanitized anything she used during the visit, and provided us with great advice. Having Leah's expertise and warm nature in our home made such a difference to our breastfeeding journey - this sort of help is not something I could have googled and figured out myself. She was able to see that my son had some tension under his tongue and demonstrated some stretches for us to try. Even though this is my second baby and I am a professional postpartum doula with lots of experience myself, Leah taught me many new things. She showed us some whole body movements that I would not have known to make a difference with his latch issues had we not met with her. Leah's vast knowledge on all breastfeeding topics was completely priceless and made me so much more confident. She is a true gem and continued to follow up with us multiple times to check on progress and offer further tips and tricks as my son's latching ability progressed. I am forever grateful as we are now at 2 months postpartum and have zero nursing concerns (and a nice plump baby!)
- Lauren Doiron
Leah has coached me through latching issues, a lip and tongue tie and a baby that refused the bottle, enabling me to successfully breastfeed and maintain my milk supply and sanity through it all! She is kind, thorough and extremely professional. I am so grateful to have worked with her and highly recommend her to all.
- Frances Elliott Thomson
I have nothing buy positive things to say about Leah. I contacted Leah after concerns that my baby might have a tongue tie and I would have issues with my breastfeeding journey. Leah was able to provide me with comfort and confidence on my breastfeeding path. Leah was extremely prompt in scheduling a time to meet and was very professional working in our home. During Covid, she practiced all necessary precautions, sanitizing and disinfecting frequently and wearing a mask and gloves at all times. Leah not only provided with me valuable information to support my baby and my own breastfeeding technique, but she also provided my husband with tips and tools on how he could support our baby's feeding journey. Leah looks at the mother and baby as a whole and develops a plan of support to match accordingly. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and supportive. I would highly recommend her services and I plan on seeking her support when we have a second child.
- Elizabeth Hall
Very thankful for Sos Lactation! When i needed it most, she was there to help me get the hang of breastfeeding! She gave me exercises and things to work on to help my baby latch better. Very professional and knowledgeable! Thank you !!! Highly recommended
- jessica cubelli
SOS consulting was more than worth the value within the first 10 minutes of the visit. Leah was extremely knowledgeable on all questions i had and helped set a plan for my newborn and I. She also followed up within an hour of the visit with notes on our plan. She gave me the assurance i needed to help my newborn's feeding.
- Taylor Ruffino
Leah was exactly what I needed to make breastfeeding successful. When I called her for help with my newborn she was able to see me the very next day on a Saturday. Her combination of heartfelt encouragement and professional knowledge made my experience with her much more effective than any other lactation consultants I've worked with. I highly recommend her.
- KC Davis
Leah helped me tremendously. I was having trouble with my newborn latching on correctly and my nights were brutal. A friend recommended Leah, I contracted her early morning and she responded pretty fast. During the consultation she was very informative and by the end of the consultation I felt so much more confident in nursing my baby.
- Mechelle Tran
I contacted Leah when my baby was 8 weeks old. We had latch and supply issues which had led to exclusive pumping and bottle feeding for many weeks. I wanted to make another try at nursing, but wasn’t sure if we could. She was incredibly reassuring and knowledgeable. She also was very responsive and came quickly to help us. I did not at all feel overwhelmed, she took lots of time at her visit to address many different challenges we had over his 8 weeks. She helped with the latch and I wish I had called earlier. It is totally worth the investment. We went from exclusive bottles to exclusive nursing in a week. I was feeling like I had messed up our chance of nursing between bottles, shields, formula, and pumping, but she was so assuring that our goal of nursing was possible. I highly recommend her to anyone needing help to nurse their little one.
- Annamarie R
I contacted Leah by recommendation of a friend when my daughter was 4 weeks old. We were having multiple problems nursing, and although my goal was to breastfeed her for a year, I doubted I would be able to make it to 6 weeks! I was so distraught over this and remember Leah calmly and confidently reassuring me that I’d make it to a year. Her advice and reassurance, and especially diagnosing her tongue tie, was such a gift to me and my baby. Nursing my daughter has been such a joyful experience, and because of Leah I didn’t have to miss out on that. We are still going strong at 9 months and plan to continue at least until that year mark! I seriously cannot thank her enough!!
- Lauren Stanley
I have had other Lactation Consultants for my first child when I lived in the Netherlands, and I must say that none of them were so professional as Leah. I had one session with her a couple of days after the delivery, when I was having problems with breastfeeding. Although it was my second child, I already had experience with breastfeeding, this time I had bleeding and soared nipples. Leah not only helped me with the latching, but also examined my baby for possible issues during feeding, suggested some exercises I could do on my baby to help me with the feeding, helped me with pumping, hand expression, slow paced bottle feeding and more… So, she spent like 3 hours with me to help my breastfeeding succeed. And it is working well now, thanks to her. I didn’t even have to do everything that she suggested, just a couple of things from her feeding plan. I definitely recommend her.
- Luiza Moreira da Rocha
Leah is extremely knowledgeable and was most helpful with all my breastfeeding questions and concerns. Would highly recommend!
- Maegan Peponis
I was having a difficult time with breastfeeding. She was supportive and knowledgeable. She made me feel at ease and answered all my questions. I wish I had contacted her sooner.
- Judy Edwards
I love Leah! She is so knowledgeable but even more important than that she is kind. She’s really great with babies and makes everyone feel comfortable. I had her come to my house before I delivered and after. We also did her tongue tie class after my son had his procedure.
- Maria Armstrong
Hire her ASAP! Leah is very knowledgeable and super calming! She provided me with many different tools to achieve my goals and developed a plan that worked for my son and I. Cannot say enough great things about her!
- Brittany Steitz
Leah is amazing! She is professional, caring, and very knowledgeable. My only regret is that I didn’t call her sooner! Nursing was so painful, I wanted to quit. Leah came out the next day and spent lots of time with my husband and I, observing and giving tons of information — she is a great teacher! She helped me identify my baby’s tongue tie issue as well as my milk production issue and helped make a plan for a path forward. In the following days, she has sent great follow-up notes and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend calling Leah right at the beginning of your nursing journey, before you have problems; she could help prevent a lot of pain and frustration Again, I just wish I’d called her sooner!! I highly recommend SOS Lactation.
- Marianna Perryman
Leah is very knowledgeable and thorough. She helped me with my newborns latch and was there to give me advice almost a year later when I ran into some breast feeding troubles. I would highly recommend her to anyone on their breastfeeding journey.
- Beth Appel
Leah was FANTASTIC in helping me breastfeed my son. She responds very quickly by text or by phone, and was able to come to our house in person less than 24 hours after we first contacted her. She identified his lip and tongue tie, guided us through finding a surgeon to correct them, taught me several positions to feed him, helped me figure out pumping, taught us exercises to help him recover from the surgery, and has been a continued help to me during our 8+ month breastfeeding journey. She was gentle with my baby, comforting to me, and very responsive to questions. I highly recommend her!
- Meaghan Bond
I had a fantastic experience with Leah! I just had baby #2, and although I was lucky enough to breastfeed my daughter for 15 months, I wanted to make sure my son and I got off on the right foot to create a solid foundation for our nursing relationship. Leah was communicative, prompt, professional, and SO helpful. She gave me all kinds of exercises to do with my boy to improve his latch and followed up with a detailed feeding plan the next day. Highly recommend meeting with Leah even if you aren't having any breastfeeding "issues" -- knowledge is power!
- Marie Bingham
Leah is wonderful! I called her as a new first time mom with lots of questions. She was able to come to my house the next morning and helped sooo much!! My newborn gained 13oz in the week following our initial consultation! She also has been very helpful with random questions I've had throughout the day .She goes above and beyond and I so glad I found her!!
- Tasha Bason
Leah is the absolute best!!!! She was a life saver in the time of struggle. My LO had trouble latching due to an inverted nipple. In the hospital I tried a nipple shield and hand expressing. At the end of his second day, I was able to get him to latch only to be saddened by nipple confusion a day later due to the doctors giving him a nuk (I can be wrong but these are my thoughts) A week after my son was born I woke up in tears trying to feed. My husband went through calls after calls trying to find a specialist to come out and no luck- UNTIL this Angel answered. She was at my house within 2 hours ( I stay really far). She was caring, knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. She uplifted my spirits and taught me so much. I learned the true difference between incorrect latches, more about pumping, feeding holds, and much more. But her personality is what stood out the most. I appreciate her efforts that day and each day after. She always answers when I call or text and she truly loves what she does. If you haven't already- GIVE HER A CALL. I promise you wont regret it.
- Jonquil Porter
Will be forever grateful for Leah’s support and guidance.
- Courtney Magahis
Highly recommend Leah at SOS Lactation. Really changed things for the better with our newborn. Thanks!
- Sam Whitehead
I highly recommend Leah as a lactation consultant. My son and I just reached 12 months of breastfeeding and I truly could not have done it without her. I had taken classes and read the books. But when we got home that first day I was at a complete lost. My husband found SOS Lactation in a google search at 8am. She was at my door by 11:30am. She answered my 10000's of questions via text, over the phone and by email in a very timely and sensitive manner. She listened patiently as I panicked. I've told every pregnant/nursing mother I know about her services. I cannot thank her enough for being such a great coach on my breastfeeding journey.
- Andrea Williams
My wife and I highly recommend Leah and S.O.S. Lactation. My wife needed some help to determining how to get the best latch and what that looked like. Leah rearranged her schedule to fit us in that day. After coaching and wisdom from Leah, our son is feeding much better and the pediatrician was impressed with how much weight he gained at this 2 week appointment. Thank you Leah!
- Josh Duncan
Leah was amazing... she really informed me and help me and my husband feel much more confident when it comes to keeping our new baby girl fed .... she answered all my questions thoroughly and really helped my stress level subside!
- Joie Onstead
I am currently in the middle of Hurricane Harvey and this awesome consultant helped me via phone. I'm so grateful because I had no idea what to do!
- Rhomari Jackson
I had a wonderful experience with Leah. The LCs at the hospital where I delivered my daughter tried to be helpful but were never able to spend more than a few minutes with me. Plus they were giving me conflicting advice. The morning I was to leave the hospital I was a mess - literally crying - and one of them recommended I contact Leah. I am so glad I did! She was at my house that afternoon and within an hour we had my daughter latched. I had her come back out a week later to make sure we were good and then I was golden! One month in and our daughter is up 2+ lbs and her head and height circumference have increased by over an inch. I seriously would have quit breastfeeding on day 3 had it not been for Leah. Thank you Leah!
- Jen Pearsall
Leah is absolutely fantastic! We frantically required assistance with our 9 day old baby and she made time in her schedule to see us on short notice. Leah spent over 2 hours with us assisting with correct latch, syringe and bottle feeding techniques as well as weighing and understanding or baby's needs and caloric intake. Leah is encouraging, supportive, punctual, quick to respond to questions and caring. I highly recommend contacting Leah for lactation advice and would suggest doing this sooner rather than later. We feel we struggled through longer than we needed to, but are already seeing the results from Leah's feeding plan and advice within 24 hours of having met with her. Thanks again for everything Leah!
- Lee Ann Goode
Leah is awesome! I had so many problems breastfeeding my first baby. With Leah's help, my experience with my second baby has been a million times better! I highly recommend S.O.S. Lactation!
- Jessica Morgan
I'm so thankful to have found Leah. I called her on a Saturday morning and she was able to come to our apartment that evening. She stayed for over two hours discussing every detail of my son's birth and it's impact on breastfeeding, helping me develop a feeding plan, teaching us how to bottle feed to encourage breastfeeding and improving my son's latch. She involved my husband, as well. She was kind and compassionate throughout and never made me feel like I wasn't doing enough for my son (a common feeling I've had when discussing breastfeeding issues with others). She is extremely knowledgable and came very prepared with a scale for a weighed feeding. After her visit, she regularly called me to check in and provided additional recommendations. I highly recommend her to any mom struggling with breastfeeding.
- Nicole Spoelma
Leah is a lifesaver. She has made multiple house calls to help us adjust to breast-feeding, even with short notice on a Saturday night. She has provided outstanding care for our family and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone who needs help with breast-feeding. She makes herself available by phone and text at all hours of the day or night and is very quick to respond with advice and encouragement. Highly recommended!
- Camella Clements
Leah truly provided "S.O.S." services for my baby and me. Unfortunately, the lactation consultants at the hospital where I delivered were too busy to help with the nipple soreness/latch issues we faced. I was discharged on a Friday before the July 4th weekend. That weekend, my milk started coming in, and with my baby not latching, I was panicked for how to relieve my supply as I was fearing that I would get engorged. Referred by my doula, Leah came the same day I called her on that Sunday! She has always been very prompt to answer phone calls, text messages and making in-person consultations. Thankfully, Leah also suggested that my baby had tongue-tie (something that we kept asking the nurses and pediatrician at the hospital, who incorrectly said no she didn't have it!), and we got it diagnosed and fixed the next day by her recommended pediatric dentist. Still, my baby was having a hard time breastfeeding, so Leah worked with me on the next best thing: exclusively pumping. At first, I was pumping very low volumes, but within days, we were able to bump up my supply quite substantially. By the following week, I had almost enough breastmilk pumped to keep my baby full throughout her feedings! There were many other smaller issues that Leah helped us resolved, and to keep this review from getting too long, suffice to say she's a very dedicated lactation consultant and you can't go wrong with her. If I had to do it all over again, I would've asked her to visit me the day after I delivered instead of waiting until discharge.
