Hello, my name is Kit and I've I have been working in childcare for almost a decade. In my time as a nanny and a preschool teacher, I've always appreciated working as a team with parents and other caregivers to give children the best care possible! I approach children with empathy, trying to see their point of view and helping them to understand the world around them. I believe there are opportunities for learning in everything, especially in play. I strive to foster independence in children, and build confidence in their own abilities. Having worked with children with various medical needs, I understand that each family and each child are unique. I consider myself very patient and flexible in creating plans and routines that support child development while still considering the needs of the whole family unit.

Parents can rest easy knowing their child is well taken care of with me. I'm happy to take on all childcare tasks including feeding, bathing, changing, and sleep training. I see each of these moments as a learning opportunity and take advantage of every chance I get to teach as much as I can. I am well versed in child development, and always keeping an eye out for milestones reached and ways to develop or strengthen new skills. I keep organized notes throughout my work day detailing all activities and communicate all information about my time with the child to all other caregivers. During down time I can help with housekeeping and some light meal prep. My strengths in that regard lie in keeping a clean and comfortable environment. I will take responsibility for baby laundry and dishes as well as keeping all of their items clean, sanitized, and organized. I am open to discussing any specific services required, and accommodating the family's needs to the best of my ability.
