Hello! My name is Kiara, and I'm an Occupational Therapist (OT), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM). My professional interest in early childhood development, primitive reflexes, and infant feeding inspired me to pursue my IBCLC as well as specialized training in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) and Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI). I am the lead clinician at Lactation and Development Resources in Houston, where I utilize a specialized perinatal care model that brings together occupational therapy, feeding therapy, and lactation consultation. Through this integrated approach, I aim to offer a holistic solution to common, interconnected challenges faced by new mothers and infants (e.g. pain, feeding difficulties, delayed milestones), with the goal of promoting shorter episodes of care, improved maternal-infant health outcomes, and reduced overall costs for families.
