I had my first prenatal consultation with Keneda and it truly went amazing. She was so incredibly personable, warm, and really easy to talk to which made me feel comfortable right away! She took the time to throughly explain breastfeeding, including latching techniques, hand expressing, and what to realistically expect once my baby arrives so I’m well prepared. I really appreciate how patient and knowledgeable she was, she didn’t rush through anything and made sure all my questions were answered. I definitely feel more confident and prepared for my breastfeeding journey and can’t wait to continue learning from her once my baby arrives and get that hands on guidance and support. It’s also amazing that she offers in home visits which makes the whole experience 10x better and convenient during such an important time. I highly recommend her to any other mamas looking for guidance and support, you’ll definitely be in good hands!

I came to Keneda at 3 weeks postpartum because I was struggling with both latching and pumping. At the time, I never thought I would be able to exclusively breastfeed, I was a severe undersupplier and felt completely discouraged. Now, at 2 months postpartum, I’m not only exclusively breastfeeding and pumping, but I’ve built a freezer stash and even become an oversupplier! Keneda taught me everything I needed to know, from proper pumping techniques and schedules to flange sizing, as well as effective breastfeeding positions and techniques. I walked into our session feeling completely lost, and left with so much confidence and knowledge. Even though we only had one session, Keneda went above and beyond by checking in with me regularly through text, offering continued support, and answering any questions I had. Keneda has been amazing with my postpartum journey with breastfeeding. I had a lactation consultant help with latching in the hospital but she was rushed and I couldn’t keep my son latched without it being painful. I am approaching 3 months post-partum and I have been Keneda’s client quickly following the one-month visit where baby girl did not meet her birth weight. Our peds doc wanted me to begin fortifying my milk whereas before I was exclusively breastfeeding. Our whole world got flipped upside down with now needing to pump and bottle feed; Keneda helped us navigate those daunting waters. She taught me how to effectively electric pump, what foods to eat, and gave other tips to increase supply. Prior to our sessions, I was only pumping 2-3 oz. very painfully with a manual pump. Now, I pump 4-6 oz. during a normal pump session and 8-10 oz. in a power pump session. So much progress within 2 months!! My little one is now at a very healthy weight and we are reincorporating breastfeeding again with Keneda’s guidance on how to relatch after getting used to the ease of drinking from a bottle. I have had a few emergency situations and she was always very responsive and clear on the best ways to resolve issues at hand. She is also reaches out to check-in on how everything is going and provides me with support and advice. I am a perfectionist so I tend to get in my own head and stress more than necessary. Keneda is very patient and knowledgeable in answering my plethora of questions. She also points out when I need to take a step back and see everything we accomplished in such a short span of time. I can have a peace of mind knowing that Keneda is on this journey with us and is committed to my daughter’s health/growth!

Keneda is amazing. I’m a 36 year-old FTM. At the hospital 2 days after my baby’s birth, I produced my first 2 drops of colostrum. My baby was born SGA, so feeding him well was vital. Nurse Keneda was awesome and very professional. As a first-time-mom, I really needed her advice and guidance. Thanks to her, my baby is no longer underweight and is in the 98th percentile as of my last checkup on 7/25. She KNOWS what she is talking about. During one of her visits we casually mentioned that my baby had a frenectomy to release her tonge tie. She asked if we were given tongue exercises to do on her, as in some instances it can grow back. I told her we were not. So I booked an appointment with the pediatric dentist who I had done the procedure at for a follow up; and it turns out it did regrow sadly. So we had to do it again and specifically asked about the exercises, and thankfully all is well!

If you are looking for help to have your baby latch look no further. Since I had no milk production after birth, it was really hard to keep my baby latched on. I was on the verge of giving up until I received service from Latch of Love. I was able to have my baby latch but what I really loved about Keneda is that she followed up with me to see how my journey was going. I stopped latching the baby on and started pumping which I felt was a better journey for me. She gave me affirmation about how long I wanted my journey to be and assured me that as long as my baby is fed that’s all that matters. When I started pumping, I was producing about 2oz in total but with the motivation and a personal plan to produce more milk from Keneda I was able to produce 8oz in a couple of months after. I definitely would recommend using any of the services provided because she will have a personal plan for you and your baby and you will have a positive outcome. I will definitely be using her service for my second baby.

Latch of love is truly heaven sent! Keneda, the lactation consultant is absolutely amazing. As soon as I met her I knew I was in great hands. She was so sweet and genuinely helpful! You can tell she is truly passionate in what she does. I was experiencing such a hard time with effectively breastfeeding and pumping. My baby girl was not completely latching on, and when I tried to pump I was not producing much milk. I didn’t know what to do, I search the internet, spoke with different lactation consultants from the hospital I gave birth at, but nothing was working.
