Service introduction

As a birth and postpartum doula, I play a multifaceted role, providing emotional, physical, and informational support to mothers before, during, and shortly after childbirth. My aim is to help ensure a safe, memorable, and empowering birthing experience. During the prenatal phase, I offer guidance on birth plans, relaxation techniques, and what to expect during labor. During labor and delivery, I am there to offer comfort through pain relief techniques like massage, breathing exercises, and position changes. I also serve as an advocate for the mother's wishes, helping to communicate with medical staff and provide continuous reassurance and support. In the postpartum period, my role shifts to help the new family adjust to life with a newborn. This includes offering support with infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing, and basic newborn care. As a lactation counselor, I specialize in breastfeeding education and support. I help address any breastfeeding challenges, from latching difficulties to milk supply issues, ensuring both the mother and baby are comfortable and the baby is well-nourished.

This… felt like a scam. Extremely unprofessional. I hired Kameryn for doula services - the inclusion of any photography was just a bonus service she provided. We had an initial virtual meeting about expectations from both parties. We met to go over birth plan and to discuss different labor techniques, pain management techniques, and the tools she would bring to assist with these. I texted her to come to hospital once I started to painfully active labor. She showed up with nothing besides a bag of McDonald’s. Sat on labor ball while eating and texting and not providing any support. After a while I decided I wanted the epidural. She left as soon as it was administered to run home and quickly grab her things. She didn’t come back for way longer than she quoted. So my husband texted her and they discussed she would come back at 4-5pm. She didn’t show back up until after 6pm, my baby was already born. She apologized and said she lost track of time. She was then extremely rude to the nurses in the room. We were all uncomfortable so she was asked to leave. After not having her there for the most important part, I was okay with her leaving. She refunded me partially. I paid $900 for a maternity shoot and to create a plan with her on a birth she would not attend nor see to my birth plan being followed. Buyer beware. I was scammed.
