Hi expectant families! I’m Kate, a Newborn Care Specialist with 10 years of newborn experience. I’m primarily serving the Lamorinda and other East Bay/Oakland areas, but willing to consider San Francisco or Marin for the right fit. In 2022, I left my classroom teaching position to pursue private childcare, with a specialty in newborns. Since then, I’ve supported several families as they’ve navigated the early weeks of their new baby’s life. It’s my goal to help new (or renewed!) parents get a full night’s rest so they can take on the day ahead.

-Short term (8-16 wks) contract -All necessary infant care including: bottle feeds/waking mom for breastfeeding, diaper changes, settling baby back to sleep, logging activity, breast milk/formula handling, bottle & pump part washing, assisting in establishing schedules, sleep consultation, nursery restock, infant laundry, awake care, and more! -30-40 hours/wk, 8-10 hours per shift -Minimum contract length of 8 weeks/max length 6 months -Willingness to switch to day shifts if needed -$60/hr starting rate and depends on tasks expected -Non-smoker, infant CPR/First Aid certified, UTD vaccinations (Covid, TDAP, flu), TrustLine registered, reliable transportation. -Excellent references verifying prior overnight newborn experience.
