We just made it to a full year of breastfeeding, and I truly don’t think we would have made it without Josée's help in those early days. She was so calm, kind, and reassuring during a time that felt overwhelming and emotional. Breastfeeding was feeling so complicated, but she helped us come up with a simple, realistic game plan that worked for our family. Her relaxed approach gave me so much confidence in my body, and I am incredibly grateful for her support. I recommend her to every new parent I know!

Josée has been the biggest game changer for our son’s feeding journey. After months of being dismissed from other providers, Josée came in with years of experience and genuinely listened to all of our concerns surrounding our sons feeding. With her help and guidance we’ve been able to start taking the right steps to help our son. Her kindness and warmth is what every mom needs during this journey. My only regret is not working with her sooner!

Josée was incredibly helpful and supportive during our breastfeeding journey. Breastfeeding is much more technical than we expected, and working with her was essential in helping us feel confident about our baby’s intake and knowing what to look for. She made simple, effective adjustments that immediately improved how efficiently our baby was feeding and taught us how to recognize when our baby was actively taking in milk. With her guidance, our baby got back to birth weight quickly. We’re so grateful for her expertise.

Working with Josee has been a critical part of my postpartum journey. She was recommended to me by our pediatrician and has been a key part of our support community. Josee is not only extremely knowledgeable but she’s intuitive and kind, and truly goes above and beyond. I’ve felt so supported and listened to while navigating challenges with breastfeeding our child. If you’re looking for an LC I couldn’t recommend her more.

Josée has been such an instrumental part of my breastfeeding journey. It has been such a comfort to know she’s just a phone call or text message away to answer all my breastfeeding questions and concerns. She’s incredibly supportive, warm and kind, and actually cares about her clients well-being, which is especially important during such a vulnerable time as a new mom postpartum. I loved working with Josée! She has such a kind and warm energy. Breastfeeding difficulties can be so emotional, and Josée was so validating and supportive. Beyond her creative solutions to my surface-level breastfeeding woes, she was incredibly thorough and helped me explore the deeper causes of my baby’s struggle at the breast. I can’t recommend her enough!

Josée was incredible to work with! As a first-time mom who knew nothing about breastfeeding, she made me feel completely supported and empowered. Even when we couldn't make time to meet in-person, she made time to meet virtually and walked me through small changes I could try on my own. She’s knowledgeable, empathetic, and a true cheerleader. I never felt judged, only encouraged. I can’t recommend her enough!

This review is way over-due. Let me start by saying, my insurance would not reimburse me for this visit but her service was worth every penny. My hospital only offered remote breastfeeding support and I prefer in person assessments. I just had my third baby, I did not have any breastfeeding issues with my second so thought my third would be a similar experience. So wrong. A week after he was born, my nipples were cracked, bleeding, sore and suddenly my supply dipped. I was very emotional and in severe pain. Josee contacted me the next day and she was the most kind, patient and understanding human being ever. Her demeanor was calm and I felt safe. She gave me a lot of tips and a plan until we met. She makes house calls which is even more convenient. Who wants to leave the house after having a baby? We had a solid plan moving forward after we met and she continued to follow up with me via texting and calling. She is honestly a God send and really saved our breastfeeding journey. My little guy is now 5.5 and we are still going strong! If you need help, don’t think twice or hesitate, she is absolutely worth your time.

We’re so grateful for the support we received from Josée! From the start, she showed deep expertise and genuine care. She quickly identified our son’s tongue and lip tie—something we hadn’t realized—and guided us through every step toward resolving it. Her calm, courteous approach made a big difference during a stressful time. She gave us clear information, practical solutions, and steady encouragement that helped us feel confident. A true professional and a joy to work with—thanks to her, our breastfeeding journey improved dramatically. We highly recommend her!

I had an incredible experience with Josée! As a new mom, I was struggling with low milk output and severe breast engorgement, but her guidance made all the difference. She quickly identified that the issue was due to using a flange size that was too big. Josée was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive, offering practical solutions that worked for me and my baby. Thanks to her help, I now feel much more confident in my breastfeeding journey. I highly recommend her services to any parent in need of expert lactation support—Josée has truly been a game changer for our family!

Josée is a breastfeeding mom's lifesaver. I wanted to breastfeed my baby but was separated from her for 3 weeks when she was born. When I brought my daughter home, I had a routine with pumping but was having a hard time getting my daughter to latch. Josée came over and told me that my flanges were way too big (that's why pumping hurt!) and she actually had the correct size for me in her bag. She let me know that my baby had a tongue tie and a lip tie (so grateful she found this so that I could have them released!). She got my daughter to latch and gave me a plan for how to do a breastfeed/ pump combo. I never knew how challenging breastfeeding could be prior to having a baby. I ended up primarily pumping and then exclusively pumped from teeth on. My baby just turned one and I'm still making milk!! It's a miracle and a blessing that I give Josée so much credit for. One session with Josée changed the game. She's worth her weight in gold and I could not recommend her enough.

Josée has been an absolute gamechanger for our family and our breastfeeding journey. She’s incredibly warm, encouraging, respectful, and knowledgeable. We started with her 4 weeks postpartum when my son could not latch, and within moments of our first meeting my son was breastfeeding. She has helped us navigate a tricky landscape as our son struggles to breastfeed consistently. She helped us to navigate the challenges, meet our goals, and offered realistic solutions and creative ideas aligned with our specific situation. Not only did she support our breastfeeding journey, but she helped me work through my process of understanding what the limits and possibilities were on my timeframe—never pushing me to a conclusion or rushing us to the next stage. Our experience of the postpartum support world is a sea of well-meaning but nonetheless very strong opinions. Josée leads with positivity and encouragement which helped me to gain confidence and find my footing in ways other providers did not. She continues to be available for all of the big and little questions. My only regret is that we didn’t start with her sooner, as I think it would’ve made a difference. I recommend her with flying colors!!!

I would thank Josee for my whole life. Still remember those desperate nights with my newborn baby couldn't latch, and my breast turning out to be a hard red stone. It was hurting so much. Luckily I found Josee and asking her for helping. i was fully recovered after 5 days. Now me and my baby are all very well. and my adorable baby turning out to be a happy healthy little one. I've recommend Josee to anyone who's suffering, 5-star consultant for sure! Wish everyone have a happy life.

The first six weeks of nursing my son were exhausting and confusing. When I met Josée I remember laughing to myself as I told her my goal was to breastfeed for six months to a year, with where we were at it seemed impossible. In an hour she was able to talk me through simple steps I could take to get to a more sustainable place. We’ve made it to ten months so far and it has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. Josée is the best, I’ll continue to recommend her to anyone who tells me they’re having trouble nursing.

Josée is wonderful! I definitely would have given up on breastfeeding my second baby if it weren't for her. Having her come to my home in the very early days was so helpful. Josée is so professional. She arrived with all the tools for our session including a scale for baby, a baby doll to model, and pump flanges to try. She showed me some new positions to help my son latch better, and it turned out I was using the wrong size flange. She followed up with me after the appointment via text, answering my questions and helping me troubleshoot. She even dropped off some medi-honey patches to help with the painful issue I was having. With her support, I was able to continue exclusively breastfeeding, now with no pain, and my son is thriving. Even as a second time mom, I learned so many new things from her. I would recommend her to anyone looking for lactation support.

I came across Josée's Yelp page after having some problems with breastfeeding. I was a few months in and had tried everything but was still having some major challenges. Josée was my last-ditch effort to make it work. From the start, she was so professional and warm. I had worked with a few lactation consultants prior to meeting Josée and felt some judgment; never did I feel this way with Josée. She gave me really practical suggestions, was amazing with my little one, and just so supportive. She offered email/text support following our visit, checked in to see how things were going, and ultimately, when I decided to stop breastfeeding, offered support for weaning. Truly feel like I could not recommend her enough!

Like so many women, my birth story looked nothing like I had hoped and planned for. And when I found myself in the throes of postpartum, I desperately needed a lactation specialist to help me with the many challenges that breastfeeding brought. Breastfeeding is so personal and throughout the weeks that followed the birth of my daughter, I was quite emotional as I struggled to make sense of it. It felt vulnerable having someone I had never met come into my home and meet me in that space. Josée completely took me by surprise - she was warm and empathetic, and I immediately felt a kindred spirit in her. She sat and listened to my birth story, asking the most thoughtful questions, and my guard slowly came down as I opened up about my fears and insecurities around latching and my milk supply. Josée spent several hours with me during that first visit, providing me with all the right supplements as well as the best bottles and nursing bra recommendations. My daughter had severe tongue and lip ties, and she worked tirelessly over the next several weeks to find the right feeding positions for us both. She’d drop off products that she ordered herself — flanges, a hand pump, nipple shields. She’d often generously pull products from her own supply and always made herself available for any questions I had (as a first time mom, I had many!). She was at the ready whenever I just needed perspective, cheered me on when I found success and held space when things felt hard. And when my husband and I mentioned we were looking for a night doula, she went above and beyond and made several calls to her vast network of contacts to find us the right fit. I’ve never seen anyone work harder or care more for their clients. Josée helped me navigate one of the most challenging seasons of my life and she will be the first person I call if and when we decide to have a second.

What a privilege and fortune is to have a knowledgeable professional that can help in a moment of need! Josée was recommended to me by my doula and I had her in my pocket for a moment of need. I had to contact Josée on two different occasions for two different issues that I had. She responded quickly and offered help quickly in a very gentle and calm way. I have been having clogged ducts with my first child and could never solve the issue, so I thought this is something I just have to deal with if I want to breastfeed. It is the most unpleasant thing and creates so much stress. Josée offered a solution that so far has been solid, which is such a relief! I also ran into the issue with the baby not gaining weight around the 4th month mark. She helped me quickly resolve that as well and I kept on breastfeeding without having to involve formula yet! Breastfeeding is hard for some (me for sure!) and I am so so happy I have someone to turn to when I bump into an issue! I wouldn't hesitate to turn to her with my future issues as well!

Simply she is the best !I’m so glad I worked with Josée, it had been three stressful months with my son as he refused to take the bottle. Josée was able to help me introduce bottle to him and after a few attempts he finally learned to drink the milk from bottle. This was the biggest relief for my family.I don’t know how I would have handled my situation if it wasn’t for Josée. Thank you :)

I cannot say enough good things about Josée. After a few months of a harrowing breastfeeding experience filled with nearly daily clogged ducts, debilitating pain and many failed visits with other lactation consultants, Josée was recommended by a friend who'd met success with her. Josée put me at ease from the moment we met. Not only did she assess my issues in such a gentle yet thorough way, she did it all while rocking my baby to sleep. I felt reassured and supported every moment. Her expertise spanned across techniques, tips and tricks, to helpful products and resources. Having had a traumatic birth experience that led into a painful and frustrating nursing journey, Josée held space and asked thoughtful, caring questions as I processed. She is warm, kind and professional - a true expert at what he does. My daughter is 19 months old and thanks to Josée I am still happily nursing. If you are on the fence about hiring her, this is your sign to do it. Josée has my full and wholehearted recommendation!

Hands down one of the most helpful resources when welcoming a new baby home. Josée is the best lactation consultant in South Pasadena, Pasadena, Alhambra area. She’s equipped me with various positions, information, resources and hands on training to help me breastfeed my baby and how to increase my milk production as she grows. Our sessions were at my home, she came on time, was very communicative and set good goals and expectations. I would highly recommend Josée for any new parent needing some coaching.

We love Josée! After my daughter was born, I had issues getting her to latch and keeping her awake long enough to feed, and she wound up losing a worrying amount of weight, which led her to the emergency room. Of course, I spiralled into a ball of anxiety and self-doubt. How could breastfeeding be so difficult? A referral led me to Josée, who I credit with turning around not only my baby's weight gain trajectory, but also saving my sanity in these early newborn days. Through a few sessions (both virtual and at my home), she taught me a bunch of new feeding positions, told me how to use my pump effectively, gave me endless advice on boosting my milk supply, and helped me learn how to improve my daughter's sleep habits (a lifesaver!). She also helped monitor my baby's weight to be sure she was gaining appropriately. Finally, but no less important, was her empathetic kind demeanor - she's like a lactation guru and therapist rolled into one. I now feel so much more confident about breastfeeding and even just taking care of a newborn in general. I highly recommend Josée for any new parent - whether you're experiencing tough times or just need some new baby tips and tricks.

Josée was an absolute life saver! I made an appointment with her due to recurring milk blebs, and some issues breastfeeding my baby. She was so incredibly helpful. I'm so glad I found her because I was ready to give up breastfeeding because it was so painful. She took her time helping me in person, setup a pumping schedule for my return to work and then followed up with me making sure my milk blebs finished healing. Now I'm informed, ready, and prepared to continue breastfeeding my baby. I thank God I found her!

Joseé is an ANGEL. She is incredibly wide and such an amazing resource. On top of her obvious knowledge, she has the most calming presence and is exactly the type of person you want around after having a baby when everything seems hectic! She made us feel so comfortable and was such a great cheerleader (we felt so confident every time she left!) We worked with her a few times over 2 months. She helped us through a few major issues including: weaning off a nipple shield, engorgement / clogged ducts, mastitis, pumping, over supply / overactive letdown. She gave us tips, knowledge, and advice that we use *every day*. I can’t recommend her enough!!!

Simply put, Josée is worth 100 times her weight in gold... or breast milk... whichever feels most valuable to you ;-) We met Josée just a day or two after our daughter, born three weeks early and oh-so-tiny, came home from the hospital. At a time when everything was new, unexpected, wonderful but also challenging and overwhelming, Josée was a grounding, comforting, compassionate, as well as extremely knowledgeable and supportive presence. The beginning of our breastfeeding journey was not an easy one; Josée provided sound advice, clear guidance, information and encouragement that allowed me to stick with it. Before we knew it, our very underweight baby was right on target for size and we were exclusively breastfeeding as though there had never been an issue. Josée helped to transform a bit of a crisis into a relatively small bump in the road, and continued to be a source of comfort, support and advice for us even after milk supply and healthy feeding routines were firmly established. In Josée you will find an exceptionally informed lactation consultant, a most understanding friend, an educator, and an engaged professional, who is deeply passionate about what she does and dedicated to staying on top of the most current research, resources and tools to help her clients have optimal success in their breastfeeding journey. I feel exceptionally fortunate to have gotten to work with Josée and cannot recommend her enough!

Josée has been a godsend during what has hands down been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. Her knowledge is vast and her compassion is deep. Breastfeeding with my first daughter was a physically challenging and emotionally traumatic experience. By the end of our first day, the hospital had me “triple feeding” (nursing, supplementing with a bottle, and using an electric pump) due to what they perceived was low milk supply. They kept me on that plan for over 2 months without sign of improvement or change. I felt shamed, misunderstood, and unseen. Worst of all, I felt I was missing heartfelt bonding time with my baby every time I was attached to that silly pump! After 2 months, I gave up and began exclusively feeding her with formula. This was a great decision at the time, but I didn’t yet know Josée. When I learned I was pregnant with my second daughter, I needed help to redefine my relationship with nursing. It felt critically important to me that I work with a person who could empathize with my past experiences, and help me approach breastfeeding as if for the first time - with an open, curious mind. I found that support and so much more in Josée! - Katie K.

We were honestly shocked and amazed by her expertise and beyond thankful. She was so gentle with our baby girl and made us feel so safe. We cannot recommend her enough.

Josée was incredibly accessible, knowledgeable and patient with us during our time of need and was an absolute blessing to us in our breast-feeding journey! Our baby was born via C-section due to a breech presentation. Within the first 2-3 weeks of our little guy’s life, we started to discover some pretty acute challenges. Increased gassiness/pain with feeding, spit up, difficulty sleeping, short feeds, nipple pain, difficulty with latch, to name a few. As a first time mom, I was swimming in uncertainty and anxiety. Something just didn’t feel right to me, and consulting “Dr. Google” was both exhausting and overwhelming. We first connected with our doula who recommended seeking out chiropractor/body work, which we pursued. From there, we were encouraged to work with a lactation consultant for additional support, and Josée came highly recommended. After the initial consult with Josée, we soon realized that our little guy likely had a tongue tie, which was a major contributor to our difficulties. We moved forward with an assessment from a pediatric dentist and had it released. What an incredible difference that made! Honestly, without Josée’s validation, encouragement, assessment and resources we would’ve been continuing to struggle without an answer or solution. Not only was she incredibly warm, compassionate, and understanding of my numerous questions and anxieties, she also advocated for us through her words, recommendations, strategies and support. She was so available as well! We are in a much better place now, and our little guy is doing great! Thank you Josée for caring for our family so well, we’re extremely grateful!

I couldn’t say enough good things about the experience we had with Josée! She was so kind and caring! She came to help with our breastfeeding journey about 48 hours after our baby girl was born; I had such anxiety about breastfeeding and my milk supply due to a c-section and Josée listened to all of our concerns and offered us the most amazing support. She was incredibly sweet with our baby and treated all of us with so much respect, we couldn’t have asked for a better person to be with us. We weren’t shy to ask any questions and we always felt very informed. Josée helped us establish an amazing breastfeeding relationship and we’ve been successful and producing all the milk for the 3 weeks our babe has been in our lives! We could never thank Josée enough!

I am so glad to have found Josée. She is professional, reliable, and compassionate. I really like her since we met the first time during an in-person session. I was extremely frustrated by reoccurring mastitis and just wanted to stop breastfeeding as soon as possible. Josée did not judge me or give me pressure about my decision. She carefully listened to all my questions and concerns and provided a detailed actionable plan to solve my problems. Not only that, she followed up with me every week to guide me through each step. With her help, my lactation disorder has been resolved. I changed my mind and continue to breastfeed - which is the best gift I could give to my baby. I can't thank Josée enough for her guidance and most importantly, her moral support along the way. Thank you, Josée!

Joseee provided a wealth of knowledge in all things lactation. She helped me re-latch my baby after struggling to latch on my own. She also helped me wean off the nipple shield after just one visit. I would recommend her to mama's in Pasadena and surrounding cities!

Where to even begin? Josée is hands down the best resource for breastfeeding and lactation support. I had many issues and roadblocks with my first child and ended up exclusively pumping for 18 months. I was very discouraged with my second child when we started experiencing identical issues right from day 1 (severe painful latch, nipple cracking, tongue tie, transfer issues with milk, low supply, slow weight gain, etc) - you name it, we had those problems. Josée's positive demeanor, extensive knowledge and encouragement literally saved my breastfeeding relationship this time around. She came to our home for multiple appts, and guided me on everything from figuring out a better latch, positioning, increasing my supply, tongue tie revision referral, etc. I was doubtful it would work as I had experienced all the issues before, but she knew what she was doing and kept me on course when I wanted to give up. Around 5 weeks, it all turned around and now at 10 weeks, my baby has been nursing like a champ and gaining weight well. It has been a dream of mine to nurse one of my children and Josée helped make that dream a reality and I will forever be grateful. If you need an IBCLC, she is the best and worth every penny.

I can honestly say that breastfeeding has been one of the biggest challenges I have faced as a new mom. I had this very romantic idea of effortlessly latching my new baby onto my breast and nature would just take it from there. Unfortunately, that was not how it happened. The minute we put our sweet little boy to my breast he rejected it immediately. We worked with the lactation consultants in the hospital but once we got home we were lost and I was in quite a bit of pain (to say the least). We called Josée searching for answers and she came into our home and immediately instilled a sense of calm. Without her wonderful guidance I can honestly say we would not be where we are today. Josée is kind, gentle and incredibly knowledgeable. She is professional and honestly just a lovely human being. She continually checks in on us to monitor our progress and she always makes her self available to answer any questions that come up (also my son loved her instantly, like seriously instantly). Breastfeeding can be so challenging and there is so much to learn but with Josée you have this wonderful guide to get you to where you want to be. Thank you Josée from the bottom of my heart. You are such a wonderful person and lactation consultant. I cannot recommend you enough!

I first contacted Josée when my daughter was a month old through the recommendation of another IBCLC. Although premature and tiny, her weight gain was actually really great, but I was having severe nipple pain and her latch/eating habits were not sustainable. She was very responsive, kind, encouraging and willing to go the extra mile to not only help me, but make me feel like I wasn't alone with my breastfeeding struggles (or at the mercy of google). Josée was able to come to my house the next day to watch a nursing session with my daughter and fixed her latch on the spot. With a couple other recommendations, I was pain free in a few days! She also suggested having my daughter evaluated for tongue and lip ties and recommended an amazing pediatric dentist to see, who determined that she did in fact, have a tongue tie which we had revised, and which also improved things a lot. Josée returned to my home after that for a follow up visit, which made me feel so much better about everything and after a few weeks of swapping emails (about a sweet baby who screamed all night from hunger, but refused to eat!) we were finally in a really great groove with breastfeeding! More recently, I've had a lot of bad luck with illness, mastitis, blebs and stress - and my supply has taken a pretty big hit, which was devastating for me. I contacted Josée again and she was quick to respond with some helpful tips and lots of encouragement which have started to improve things and made me hopeful that we can continue our journey for the next year. Breastfeeding is so important to me, and she's helped to make it not only sustainable for me, but something really special I'm able to share with and do for my daughter. Lactation Consultants like Josée are worth their weight in gold. I'm so lucky I found her!

I highly recommend Josee. She was very responsive and arranged to come to our house within 24 hours of us contacting her (on a Sunday morning no less!). Her advice was invaluable and quickly resolved the issues we were having. She was also very responsive to follow up questions.

My baby girl and I had been having trouble for weeks before I found Josée, and I wish we'd found her sooner! After working with her my daughter is like a whole new baby! Josée is incredibly knowledgable and professional, and really listens to her clients. She immediately diagnosed my daughter with a tongue tie and referred us to a pediatric dentist for a second opinion/possible surgery, and stayed in touch throughout the whole process. She is absolutely lovely to work with and really cares about the wellbeing of the mothers and babies she works with!

Josee is an amazing lactation consultant!! I consulted with her because I thought I was battling ongoing issues with thrush, and wasn't sure if my then 3 month old was latching correctly. She was able to see that I was actually dealing with vasospasm, not thrush and gave us many things to work on with positioning the baby better and some recommendations for supplements and I have been symptom free ever since! I even had some issues a few days later I emailed her about and she helped me trouble shoot right away and we were able to move through that very quickly and easily. I cannot say enough great things about her and would recommend her to everyone! She's great at her job and truly cares!!
