Joann was such an incredible support to us throughout pregnancy, labour, and postpartum. Our baby is 6 months old now and when I think of his birth, I remember how amazing it was to have Joann there. I had a planned c-section after a very traumatic delivery with my first, so I knew I wanted a doula by my side, but also to support hubby in case he needed it. Throughout pregnancy, Joann was a cheerleader, always there to talk. When our little guy decided he couldn’t wait until his planned c-section date, Joann pivoted and met us as at the hospital as soon as we needed her. She came with her bag of tricks (lol) to help me through labour (a labour I wasn’t anticipating because of the scheduled c-section), which progressed so quickly, and she was so great at ensuring both myself and hubby were supported where and when we needed. She took beautiful pics too and stayed with us until we were settled in our room. The overnight visits were a game changer, too! We love and appreciate Joann, and couldn’t imagine what the experience would have been like without her! I’ve given birth without a doula, and with a doula - having Joann there was the experience any mama deserves when having a baby <3

Joann is amazing! My husband and I were apprehensive at first about whether we would need a doula and I'm so glad that we found and connected with Joann. Her expertise and wealth of knowledge were greatly appreciated during my pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey. She was and still is a phenomenal source of support for my husband and I while we navigate our way through parenthood. During my pregnancy and leading up to my baby boy’s birth I had a few big decisions to make along the way. I greatly appreciated having Joann’s input and support during this time. As is often the case my birth didn't go as planned.I was nervous about this and Joann helped me remember to advocate for myself and do what made me feel safe, healthy and happy when it came to giving birth. Joann was instrumental in helping me and my husband prepare for birth. She is very kind, caring and informative. While we didn’t get the home birth I was hoping for and had to pivot to a c-section due to a breech baby, she was incredibly helpful and supportive for both avenues, including pre, during and post birth. I would highly recommend her for your birthing journey to help you feel more empowered and educated every step of the way.

SO GLAD I went with a doula for my second time around and even happier that I chose Joann. She was super responsive, knowledgeable and really made the whole experience easier. She came quickly even though it was in the middle of the night and was by my side the whole birth and it was so nice to have a familiar face in the room cheering me on. Having Joann as our Doula was absolutely the BEST decision we made. From day 1 Joann was incredibly supportive always there to answer our questions and guide us. She was a fountain of knowledge and just knew what to say when I needed some encouragement. My labour was quite lengthy and went from 0 to 100 quite quickly with some interventions but Joann knew what to do to help me and my husband through it. There will never be enough words to thank her. The best decision we took during my wife's pregnancy was to have Joann as our doula support for our firstborn daughter. From day one we had an amazing connection with her, she was always very kind and supportive, guiding us through every decision with knowledge and experience but always very respectful about them.
