I plan to give birth at a hospital I have Medicare health insurance and I’m looking for an ob/midwife for prenatal care

I am a first time mom, this is my first pregnancy. I am looking for a midwife and to give birth in a hospital or birth center connected to a hospital. I am pretty nervous and scared about pregnancy so I need someone that will be empathetic and kind as well as make me feel comfortable. I would like to have a natural birth if possible.

I plan to have a hospital birth and I’m hoping my insurance will cover a doula. I want to go without pain medication for as long as possible until I can’t handle it anymore.

I am looking for a mid(wife) not mid(wives)... I want a more personal experience with someone so I can feel comfortable and get to know them and vise versa. I'd like to give birth at a birthing center that doesn't include a hospital... I want a more comfortable at home sort of birth but not at my home if that makes sense.

I’m hoping to give birth at home or at a birth center. This is my first baby and we are very poor so we don’t have much of a budget, it would be great if a midwife could be covered by insurance, I have Cigna and community health plan of Washington. I’d like to have a natural unmediated vaginal birth, using self hypnosis.

I am planning a holistic home birth with as little intervention as possible. I believe my body is built for birth and want to allow it to do its work! My insurance covers a midwife. I hope to create a birth plan with my midwife - I don’t even know where to start!
