I have been a childcare provider for over 20 years, and in the fall of 2019 decided to further my education in providing assistance to families by becoming a labor and postpartum doula. I also provide new parent education for those unfamiliar with newborns and infants in general. It is my pleasure to work with families in supporting their needs. My primary interest is in postpartum work and providing lower economical background families with support they need. Whether it be a single parent household, teenage parent household or families who are simply not yet at ease with life with a newborn, I find great joy in uplifting families and assisting them in such an important milestone of life.

I’m currently a ProDoula Certified Labor Doula (CD-L) + A Dona International Certified Doula (CD). Thankfully, my obsession has led me to experience some amazing twin and triplet births (vaginal and cesarean). I also fully support and love those who birth their babies from their bellies. I am a certified Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula. As the first Fertility Doula in Charlotte, NC, I know just how much support surrounding fertility complications and infertility is needed in our community. I have recently started organizing a collective of doulas committed to offering support to families and individuals undergoing any fertility assistance. Fertility work has led me to find passion in also supporting families with surrogates and those going through surrogacy. ​ Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding, pumping, supplementing, and formula feeding are all journeys that I’m in full support of and have significant experience with as well. Cultivating an environment where you can bond with your baby, no matter how you feed them, is one of my favorite things to curate for clients. ​ I’ve always loved supporting people - the deeply and passionately really truly type of love. I have been a licensed social worker for 20 years. I am certified in baby message and as a sleep trainer. I taught birth basics, breast feeding, and parenting classes for 6 years. I worked as a hospital social work for 3 years supporting women on bedrest, while their baby stayed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and postpartum for up to 6 months after delivery. I have 3 boys of my own. I was a military spouse for many years. I am currently working as a therapist at a private practice part-time but have flexibility in providing night nanny support to parents that need a night off or that just need more guidance with baby scheduling and circadian rhythm.

I was blessed to attend my first birth at 18 and loved being a support for my friend. At that time in life, I didn’t know what a doula was or even that this was a career. After that experience, I was blessed to attend several births including c-sections, and have helped several people with lactation right after birth. No matter what stage of pregnancy, I am a safe space for you. From 2018-2023 I had the opportunity to nurture and love babies from 0 to 24m in foster care.
