I am a certified doula. I have been practicing for two years. I am skilled in both homebirth and hospital deliveries as well as basic breastfeeding and newborn care. I am passionate about informed consent, choice, and supporting mother and baby through this life changing event.

Service introduction

For the prenatal period, I get to know you and your family. I do my best to understand your likes and dislikes as well as to form a personal connection. We will discuss your birth plan, talk about your partners role, discuss possible scenarios, discuss my role at the birth, and what you can be doing to prepare for the birth you want. As the birth approaches I will be on call for you. I will support your vision for birth. I have many tricks and techniques under my belt for facilitating the physiological process. After the birth I will help to establish breast feeding, make sure you’re comfortable and head home. I’ll visit twice after birth, once in the first few days and then again in a week or so. I am happy to clean, do laundry, cook or hold the baby and/or watch siblings so you can get a shower or a nap. I am happy to answer questions and share the knowledge I have about postpartum healing and adjustment.
