My name is Cheryl Ahrens, and I’m a Newborn Care Specialist with over 15 years of experience supporting families through one of the most transformative times in life welcoming a new baby. Originally from the island of St. Lucia, I bring a nurturing, intuitive approach to newborn care, blending traditional, heart-led caregiving with modern, evidence-based practices. I’ve had the honor of caring for singletons, twins, triplets, and premature babies, and I specialize in creating calm, structured routines that support healthy sleep, feeding, and bonding. My philosophy is rooted in love, patience, and empowerment. I believe every baby is unique and every parent deserves to feel confident, supported, and rested. Whether I’m helping a first-time parent understand feeding cues or guiding a family through sleep transitions, I approach my work with compassion, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity. I’m also trained in lactation support and currently pursuing my degree in Behavioral Health Science with an emphasis on Infancy and Early Childhood Studies to continue deepening my knowledge and care. My goal is always to create a peaceful environment where both baby and family can thrive.

Service introduction

I offer calm, organized newborn care with expertise in twins, prematurity, and lactation support. Services include sleep shaping, overnight care ($45-$55hr), 24-hour shifts (from $500-$600), and travel. Available for short- or long-term placements starting Jan 2027. I create nurturing routines that help parents feel supported and well-rested.
