Cadence Busch
About me
Hey there! I’m Cadence Busch — a Christian Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Student Midwife serving families in the DFW and surrounding areas. God put it on my heart to pursue birth work and He has blessed my pursuits while all the more growing my passion for it. In His sovereign timing, I was able to begin my journey of becoming a doula and am now honored to get to participate during this truly sacred time in a mother’s life. I am passionate about teaching women that God has designed their bodies exactly for this purpose and that they are capable, with the help of the Lord, of bringing new life into the world. My desire is that mothers will find their repose and rest in the Lord throughout their entire pregnancy and to experience the profound joy that comes with the birth of a new baby. As I strive to support, educate, and equip couples with the knowledge they need for a calm, positive, and beautiful birth experience, I want to remind them that every step of their birthing journey is in His hands.

Service introduction
As your doula, I’ll offer hands-on support with a variety of different comfort measures to help you manage labor pain with confidence and to remind you that every wave brings you closer to meeting your sweet baby. Depending on how labor is progressing, I will offer position changes that encourage baby to descend and that will help you body cope while also advancing labor. I’m not there to replace your partner. If your birth partner wants to be an active participant during your labor, I’ll show them how best they can support you, then step back and allow you two space, while checking in and giving suggestions when needed. Throughout your labor, I’ll provide you with continuous emotional support by offering encouragement, reassurance, and a calming presence. Whether it’s a grounding touch, rhythmic breathing, or a prayer, I’ll be right there with you as you move through the beautiful and powerful transition of bringing your baby from your womb into the world. I’ll also be there to provide you with educational and informational support. Labor can be intense, and often times, when you’re faced with an intervention being pushed on you, it can be hard to think clearly and make quick decisions in the heat of it all. As you’re doula, I will bring a clear head into your birth space so that I can process the information your provider is giving you and be able to explain what the intervention is, educate you on your options, and be sure your decisions are heard and respected. I don’t make decisions for you; but I’ll be there to slow things down and clearly communicate what is being presented to you so that you can make an informed decision.

Ratings and reviews
I can’t thank Cadence enough for everything she did for us!! I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical about hiring a doula at first, but during our first visit together, I knew the Lord had sent her to me and that she was going to be invaluable. She educated me on so many things and answered all of my many questions! When it came time for my birth, I felt confident and empowered going into it with her by my side. I couldn’t have done it without Cadence! I truly think every woman should be able to have a doula. I would use Cadence again in a heartbeat — and maybe one day we will!!
