I’ll look at movements like rolling, tummy time, sitting, crawling, and more, depending on your baby’s age. Based on this evaluation, I’ll create a personalized plan to guide your baby’s development and discuss the best strategies to help them reach key milestones.

My baby has torticollis. How will therapy help, and what can I do at home?

If your baby has torticollis, therapy is crucial to help improve neck mobility, correct head positioning, and prevent further issues like plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome). During sessions, I’ll guide you through specific exercises to stretch and strengthen your baby’s muscles. I’ll also provide easy techniques and tips for positioning and playtime activities you can do at home to support their progress.

How often should I schedule sessions for my baby’s development?

This depends on your baby’s age and specific needs. For example, if you’re working on tummy time or rolling, we might meet more frequently during those early months to ensure progress. For ongoing development, the First Year Milestone Package includes follow-up sessions at key stages like sitting, crawling, and walking, so we can space them out appropriately as your baby grows. We’ll discuss the best frequency during your evaluation.

My baby only wants to stand! Is that a concern?

Yes, if your baby is constantly trying to stand very early (around 2 months), it could be a sign of extensor dominance, where they’re overusing their back muscles. I can help balance their muscle use by guiding you through exercises and positioning techniques to strengthen their core and improve motor patterns. My goal is to help your baby develop healthy movement patterns for sitting, crawling, and walking.

Can you help me pick the best toys and baby products to support my baby’s development?

Absolutely! As part of my services, I offer toy and baby product consultations to help you select the best items that will support your baby’s motor skills and development. Whether you’re looking for toys that promote crawling or products to encourage tummy time, I’ll give personalized recommendations based on your baby’s unique needs and stage of development.

My pediatrician says my baby has torticollis or a flat spot (plagiocephaly) but recommends waiting to see if it gets better. Should I wait to seek PT?
