About me
Hi there! I’m Ashley. I’m a certified pediatric sleep coach who helps children (and their exhausted parents) get the sleep they need and deserve. I help restore peaceful slumber in households plagued by bedtime battles, nighttime wake ups, early rising, nap struggles, and all the things keeping our little ones from having a good night’s sleep. Frequently asked questions
How does the sleep consulting process work?
Once you have selected the sleep package that works for you, I’ll pass along the necessary paperwork to get started. The process will begin with a detailed questionnaire that gives me a great in-depth picture of your little one’s sleep habits and history, the current struggles you’re facing, and your ultimate sleep goals. Next, we will schedule an in-person or virtual consultation where we’ll discuss the science behind sleep, best practices for healthy slumber, and your unique sleep goals. Within 24-48 hours of our consultation, I will send you a fully customized sleep plan for your little one that reflects your comfort level and parenting style, in addition to the biological needs of your child. Once you have everything you need, you’ll start implementing the plan and I will support and cheer you on every step of the way!
Which plan is right for my family?
If you’re not sure which plan is best for your family, I recommend that you reach out to me by email or by setting up a free 15-minute call to discuss. The sleep training process usually takes between 2-3 weeks. When selecting your package, you should consider your personal coaching preferences, your child’s age and current sleep situation, as well as your budget. Additional support can always be added to a package, but you’ll get the best value if you purchase consecutive weeks in advance.
What method does Petite Sleep use to sleep train?
I believe that each family is beautifully unique and that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach. I use a variety of methods and techniques so we can decide what works best for your family based on your parenting style, comfort level, and the biological needs of your child.
Do we have to 'cry it out'?
While extinction (or no-involvement) is one sleep training method I coach parents through, it’s not the only approach I use. As a Family Sleep Institute certified sleep consultant, I have been trained on a variety of methods and approaches ranging from higher-involvement (more gentle) methods to less-involvement methods. We will discuss different methods during our consultation to find one that you are fully comfortable with.
What age does my child have to be to start sleep training?
We can begin the sleep training process once your child is 4 months or older. I work with families of children between 4 months and 6 years old.
What makes Petite Sleep different from other sleep consultants?
As a Family Sleep Institute certified consultant, I continue to stay up-to-date with current sleep-related information through FSI’s continuing education program. I am well supported by a community of other sleep consultants, faculty, and advisors. I’m trained in a variety of sleep training methods and I don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Additionally, I’m passionate about what I do, and I truly want to help people get back to the best versions of themselves. I’ve combined the science behind sleep with the heart of a mama who’s been there to give you the best possible plan for your family.
