Alexis Abdulraheem
About me
Hello! My name is Alexis, and I believe birth is one of life's most sacred transitions. As a Black woman, everything I do is rooted in advocacy, compassion, and a commitment to helping keep mothers and babies safe. I understand the importance of making every birthing person feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum journey. As a healthcare professional, mother of five, and founder of Black Motherhood Collective, I have witnessed how transformative compassionate, informed support can be. My goal is to provide evidence-based education, emotional encouragement, physical comfort, and practical postpartum care while honoring each family's unique values, culture, and birth preferences. I believe every parent deserves to feel seen, listened to, and supported. Whether I'm offering comfort measures during labor, advocating for informed decision-making, supporting breastfeeding and newborn care, or helping create space for rest and recovery, I strive to be a calm, reassuring presence during one of the most important moments in a family's life. It is truly an honor to walk alongside families as they welcome new life into the world. My mission is simple: to help parents feel safe, confident, and empowered while ensuring every mother and every baby receives the compassionate care they deserve.
