I might be the doula for you if... ~You're a first time mom who understands how essential rest, loving care and nourishment are during the fourth trimester. ~This is not your first baby, and you know you need more holistic support this time around. ~You know that rest is important postpartum - and you don't want all the labor of the household to fall on your partner. ~You want to heal holistically from your pregnancy and birth - incorporating herbs, food, ritual, bodywork and energy work into your recovery plan. ~You feel anxious about becoming a mother, and want an experienced support system. ~You've experience trauma, and need extra tender care during this vulnerable time. One of my mottos for new motherhood is: You take care of the baby; everyone else takes care of YOU. A mother’s body, heart and mind are wired for closeness with their new baby. That’s why my Holistic, Trauma-Informed Postpartum Services are designed with your nervous system in mind. Let me bring you food, care for your home, support your body with herbs and healing touch, answer your questions and deeply listen to you- so you can focus on the important work of bonding with your little one.
Alexi was the most wonderful addition to our postpartum support system! Her presence is incredibly soothing, her food and tea blends are so nourishing and delicious, and her depth of knowledge around holistic postpartum care is amazing. I was really nervous about being able to provide care and attention to both of my children and myself when the second baby arrived, and Alexi put all those concerns at ease and got me on a great trajectory mentally, spiritually, and physically. Every element of her care is fabulous—the body work, the energy work, the help around the house or with the kids, the little things to look forward to like beautiful herbal baths or yummy chocolate treats. I learned so much and am so inspired by Alexi and cannot recommend reaching out to her enough!

I had Alexi come to my house 2x for 5 hours each when my husband went back to work, 2.5 weeks post partum. I have problems relinquishing control, and I feel badly having people do things for me, but Alexi took over and made me feel so comfortable as soon as she walked in the door! The first day, she vacuumed, watched the baby so I could nap, tolerated my menagerie of pets, and talked through what my goals were for our time together. The second day, she spent the entire day cooking (after picking up groceries for me) foods that would promote milk production. She also drew me a herbal bath! I immediately felt at ease with her in my home and would recommend her time and time again!

Alexi was the perfect support for postpartum. Her calm and reassuring presence helped me navigate a lot of the emotions and changes that come with the post birth experience. She was able to help me focus on nourishing myself and connecting with my body in addition to household and baby care. We did things like bodywork, light movement, reiki, sitz baths, foot soaks, belly binding, yoni steaming, and more. Her food is delicious and I was always excited to try her next meal. She is great with reading the room and determining what mom needs most. I also found her very resourceful where I didn't feel like I always needed to guide her where things go or what to do next. I highly recommend Alexi to anyone looking for some additional postpartum support!
