Adrea was recommended to me by a friend of a friend, who had used her twice for postpartum newborn care. She is an expert in baby sleep!! Adrea is also very kind, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. She did not have availability to help me at night, but made herself available as much as possible during the day so I could get some much needed sleep. So so grateful for her. Highly recommend!!

We had the pleasure of working with Adrea for three months, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! As first-time parents, we were overwhelmed and sleep-deprived, and we’re so grateful to have had Adrea guide us through those first few months. She used a gentle, thoughtful approach to help our baby develop good sleep habits, and somehow had a magical ability to always soothe our very fussy little one to sleep. She also helped me understand the importance of establishing a good day time routine to support good night sleep. Every evening, we would have a quick chat about the baby’s day and discuss any issues that arose the night before. At night, she logged the baby’s sleep and provided notes for us every morning. With Adrea’s help, our baby began sleeping through the night at just 10 weeks. Adrea was always professional, punctual, and incredibly clean and organized. She was also always available to answer questions and offer reassurance. Her expertise, calm presence, and genuine care were invaluable. We truly could not have survived the first few months without her. Adrea is exceptional at what she does, and we recommend her wholeheartedly.

Adrea was an amazing help with both of our kids. In the first weeks home from the hospital, it was such a relief to have someone with so much experience watching over our babies and allowing us to get some well needed rest. Adrea was especially helpful with my first in terms of guiding me on my options for feeding, while fully supporting me in deciding what I was most comfortable with - I ended up solely breastfeeding the first week (meaning Adrea brought the baby to me whenever he needed to feed), but by week two, I dropped 1 feeding at night so that I could sleep longer, and Adrea bottle fed with milk I had pumped during that stretch. As the weeks went on, I did more of this, and the extra sleep made such a difference in day to day happiness (/sanity!). Given Adrea’s depth of experience, she also had a wealth of knowledge to offer whenever I was worried about anything - particularly when I was a first time mom, I appreciated all her wisdom on when a sleep regression was likely to flare up, or whether it was common for baby to do xyz. I’d also add that before my first, I didn’t fully understand the value of hiring someone like Adrea to help at night - I wondered if it was worth the investment, given I wanted to breastfeed. I quickly learned how critical any extra minutes of sleep are - the value Adrea provides is saving you the time that goes into assessing whether the baby is actually awake vs. just being noisy, changing their diaper, burping them, etc. - all of which often takes at least a half hour, usually closer to an hour. Beyond this, as they get get older, she helps make sure the baby is truly in need of a feed before getting them, which helps them get longer stretches of sleep over time (whereas my husband and I struggled to do this on our own, as we were often too tired to play the game of waiting to see if the baby would go back to sleep on his own). In summary, Adrea is highly experienced, competent, and respectful - we enthusiastically recommend her!

Yes! For twins! We didn’t use Adrea for our first child but found her to help us with our twins for 10 weeks. She is fantastic. At 10 weeks old, our twins are sleeping through the night, in the same room and very close to our noisy toddler. All without needing to cry it out (what we had to do with our first). Very professional — always on time, respectful of our family’s goals for baby sleep, and very knowledgeable about newborn care. We worked together to figure out the unique sleeping traits of each baby and how to adjust to their needs while gentling teaching them how to sleep on their own. Adrea also taught our family a lot about sleep and how to encourage their sleeping through developmental phases. She still serves as a resource for us. If you are on the fence about getting her services, it was more than worth it for our family. Stringing together longer stretches of sleep for the adults in the house did wonders for our mental health and postpartum recovery. We are grateful to have had her help in this journey of caring for 3 under 3.

Adrea answered my plea for help when our baby was 3 weeks old. I had never looked into night doulas with our first, nor prior to that panicked email for our second. She helped us off and on for months with our tricky baby. My only wish is that I had known about her and had booked her in advance so we could have had a few consistent months with her instead of her offering us help on her days off because she was already booked. Every tip and trick that helped our baby sleep better came from her. Adrea brings years of knowledge and bags of tricks to handle any situation. She taught us things about our baby we didn't even recognize. She never missed a day and never showed up a minute late. We were comfortable with her from the first time we met her. Every baby and parent needs an Adrea in their life. We miss you Adrea!

My wife and I are so grateful Adrea has helped us at night as a newborn care specialist for the past few months since our baby was born. Adrea's done an incredible job getting her on a sleep schedule and giving us tips on how to care for her through the day. She's so much more than what we hoped for. Early on my mom told me how she really trusted Adrea - that she knew what she was doing and we were lucky to have her as a resource. This is our first baby and we don't have family that live nearby. Adrea has helped teach us how to take care of our daughter. She's extremely responsible, we trust her completely and has always been on the lookout for anything we need to be doing for our daughter. Adrea's is very hard working, she's always made herself available beyond our contract on the weekends and holidays when I've needed to travel for work. Even when Adrea had personal matters to deal with she still made herself available to help us and was extremely professional. My wife and I highly recommend Adrea and would be happy to be a reference for her anytime.

Adrea is fantastic! We thought we were hiring her to help us get sleep for the nights we hired her, but we didn't realize that she was also going to help us sleep after she was no longer working for us! Adrea taught our daughter how to sleep on her own in her own room and has been sleeping through the night since 2.5 months! Adrea is also so kind, detail-oriented, knowledgeable, considerate, trustworthy, helpful-- definitely someone you can entrust with your newborn and to help you learn how to care for one! We will definitely hire Adrea again if we have more kids!

Adrea is an absolute baby whisperer! As a desperate, sleep deprived new mom, Adrea came to the rescue! She was very responsive and came over to help us. Our baby girl was a swaddle Houdini and she showed us a way to keep her snug as a bug. She was only 4 weeks old and we still do it this way at 12 weeks. She also helped with some bottle training but unfortunately she is stubborn and still refusing the bottle but we’ll keep working on it. Adrea is also very caring and nurturing. She made sure to follow up with me and make recommendations. We do appreciate her and highly recommend her services.

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Adrea and Blossoming Newborn Care. Her support allowed us to focus on my physical recovery and gave my husband and I much needed rest as we adjusted to our new role as parents. We soon learned that working with Adrea was so much more than just hiring a night nurse. She immediately became a trusted partner. As new parents we had questions every day on how best to care for our baby. Adrea brought a wealth of knowledge that informed our choices and helped us decide what would work best for our family. She helped us set a sleeping and feeding schedule that adapted as our baby grew; she helped us troubleshoot gas, diaper rash, and excessive spit up; and she provided fantastic lactation consulting that saved me trips to the hospital. By the end of our time together, our baby slept in 8 hour stretches and we knew her late night cues for hunger versus the pacifier. Adrea’s care and compassion over the last three months enabled us to leave the newborn phase as a happy, healthy, bonded family unit. There is no amount of praise I can share to properly express my gratitude. If we have another child, she will undoubtedly be my first call.

We used Adrea’s services for four months this year and couldn’t possibly recommend her more strongly! When you use Adrea, you aren’t just getting a night nurse but are literally buying sanity and piece of mind. Adrea is a great partner every step of the way on your baby journey. She began working with us in the months and weeks ahead of birth, helping us think about how to set up the nursery, what clothes and sleepwear we would need, and even how to set up blinds and lighting. We knew she would be a huge help at night, but what we didn’t anticipate was how great a coach she would be as new parents overall. She’s dealt with dozens of babies and there is little she hasn’t seen. She helped us create a great schedule, and to the jealousy of all our friends our little one was sleeping through the night at only 7 weeks. While we were scared to lose her at the end of our contract, ultimately she had done such a good job that we were ready to be on our own! Our baby is now almost 5 months old and still sleeps through the night. While we’re not planning on having any more babies, it would almost be worth it to work with Adrea again. Yes, having a night nurse is a bit of a luxury, but one we couldn’t recommend more highly to get off on the right foot!

Adrea helped our family adjust to having a newborn! The nights she was here, we did not hear a peep. She had many tips about how to get our baby to sleep through the night, and with her support and knowledge, he was sleeping through the night at around 12 weeks old. She was a lifesaver and we greatly appreciate it!

Highly recommend Adrea for parents with newborns!! We hired her in 2017 and 2021. Adrea is knowledgeable, caring, trustworthy, on time, clean, attune to baby’s needs and cries. She is able to set up a routine for our newborn that he can sleep long stretches (>7H) since two months old. She used gentle methods to wean him off at night. I know my babies were in good hands when Adrea came over and I can rest and let my body heal.

Adrea is a bright shining star! She took care of my 4-month-old daughter in the day while I transitioned back to work. She is much more than a postpartum doula, and almost a part of our family! I rely on Adrea whenever we have sleep troubles, and she is so reliable and knowledgeable and responds quickly. Adrea goes above and beyond and brings a sense of grounding, in our chaotic house as a nervous first-time mom and dad. During COVID our families could not come and assist as they live in Canada, so I do not know how I would have fared without Adrea's help, guidance and listening ear (she is a mother herself!!). When she comes to do fill in care our daughter is so happy and joyful. Adrea is a hard worker and goes above and beyond the job description of a postpartum doula. She assisted with getting our daughter to drink out of bottles and is great to talk to as a new mum to get advice and get a different perspective from experience on items that the internet nowhere near answers. So glad we get to see Adrea every now and then and hope to have you around in our daughter's life for years to come! She will be one of the first people we call, when we start trying for our second for overnights!!

We hired Adrea Sloniker from Blossoming Newborn Care for a total of three months (November 2018-February 2019) to help with our newborn daughter. In addition to our new daughter, we also have a 5 and 3 year old. I did a ton of research on newborn care specialists and sleep consultants while I was pregnant because our first two children were not great sleepers so we anticipated we would need some extra help and support in that department. From our initial conversation over the phone to meeting with her in person, both my husband and I were amazed by Adrea’s professionalism, knowledge and her overall nurturing presence. Adrea stayed overnight for the two nights I was in the hospital after I delivered my daughter and was recovering from my third c-section so my husband could sleep at home with our two older children. Best decision ever! She was truly amazing and not only took care of our baby but also me. She brought a sound machine so I could rest better and not be bothered by all the noise in the hospital. She thinks of everything and really provides such a safe, calm and amazing experience to help new mothers (and fathers) get the rest they need to recover and be a better mom. Adrea comes to work completely prepared and ready to work. I thought I knew all I needed to know about newborns since this was my third run but was surprised by how much I learned from Adrea. She is constantly taking classes, going to seminars and researching everything to do with newborns and babies. She was the first to recognize that my newborn daughter had a lip tie so we are forever grateful to her to bring this to our attention so we could provide the proper intervention. She recognizes that every baby is different and really takes the time to get to know your baby to see what their personality is like and what works for them. She has great advice without being imposing. She wrote a schedule for us to follow to help get our baby on a sleep-wake schedule and to develop good habits from day one and also suggests things (like what sleep sack, black out curtains, sound machine) to use to help with getting baby to sleep better. Our baby started sleeping through the night at just 7 weeks old which was such an amazing surprise, but really, all thanks to Adrea. In the three months that Adrea was with us, she truly became part of our family and all of us looked forward to her coming over (older children included). It can be a scary and nerve wracking experience having someone you don’t know very well taking care of your baby but honestly there was not a moment that I worried when Adrea was with my baby. She is kind, thoughtful, gentle and warm and I really believe that babies can sense this about her. Our daughter was always so happy and calm with Adrea. I truly cannot say enough good things about Adrea and if you hire her, I guarantee you will not be disappointed because it is such a good investment in your baby, your family and your much needed sleep.

We contacted Adria after five months of sleepless nights with our second daughter. Our first daughter was a great sleeper and we thought we knew all the tips, methods, and books about baby sleep. Our second daughter had severe silent acid reflex, slept on a medical grade wedge, was on medication, and woke up frequently throughout the night and was difficult to get back to sleep. When I was preparing to go back to work I was very anxious as my five-month-old baby still woke up 3-5+ times a night. At this time my baby was also not very good at taking a bottle and was very difficult for anyone to watch, just wanted mom all day long. I was sure that I would have to be very involved with the first night with Adria. Adria came in her first night at 10 PM for her eight hour shift, and she was able to get my daughter to take a bottle and put her to sleep. After working with my daughter for one month Adria was able to coach my daughter to sleep flat in her crib (no wedge anymore!), sleep without a swaddle, and she worked with her to put herself back to sleep And night weaned her. Talk about amazing! This was all done without any crying (no cry it out/ CIO) as that was my preference. Adria will work with you on your preferences and goals and create a custom plan for your baby. She even created a daytime schedule for our baby that was custom to her needs. I can’t recommend Adria highly enough- she is punctual, professional, clean, and a miracle worker with babies! My only frustration is that we didn’t hire her sooner. My family is now sleeping and we have a much happier baby and parents!
