About me

Hi! I’m Abby, I’m a DONA International trained birth doula. I’m new to the doula name but not to birth and supporting other moms through an exiting new season. I’ve always been interested in pregnancy and birth but really started researching in my own pregnancies. Through supporting my friends and family in their labors and deliveries I became more and more excited to put my passions into action. I enjoy following my clients lead and leaning into whichever version of care they feel is best for them. Be that an all natural birth, scheduled induction or something in between.

Service introduction

I offer a full birth doula package as well as many smaller packages such as only birth prep and childbirth education class, home postpartum visits, birth photography, and overnight visits. Payment plans are always negotiable. Nobody should be without support because of finances

Packages
Flexible Payment Plan
While I am gathering the needed requirements to accept insurances I offer a very flexible payment plan. In hopes of offset the out of pocket-ness I offer up to four even payments after the nonrefundable deposit. To be paid at any time before 38 weeks. We discussed that at the time of contract signing.

Full Bloom
My full bloom package is full Doula support. We’ll start with an intake phone call to chat and get to know each other a bit. I’ll then send you an email with all of the necessary paperwork and we will set up a time and place to meet in person for our contract signing. Once we’re under contract, you’re welcome to text me at any time. Around 33-34 weeks pregnant we will have an in person birth prep visit. I bring my birth bag and paper resources, we’ll spend around 90 minutes together making and understanding your birth plan. And setting up a loose plan of how to help make that happen for you. Starting at 36 weeks I consider myself on call for you and will keep my phone on me at all times. When the time comes, I will attend your birth wherever that may be. I come ready with my bag of resources and prepared to support you and physically and emotionally for the entire duration and around two hours after baby is born. In the next few days following, I will come for the first of our two postpartum visits. The first visit is in person, usually three or four days after you’ve come home. We can sort of debrief from the birth chat about how things went and how things are going. Discuss things you might need going forward. I can also assist in any normal household duties at this visit. Anything you need to make your postpartum smoother. Our second postpartum visit is your choice of in person or over the phone whichever you think is best for your family once both visits are done. I will make sure you, your baby and your family are set up for success as best I can and our contract will be concluded.

Abby does such a great job! I would definitely recommend her. When she came for my home visit it felt very calm and helped me redirect some of my nervous energy around labor . She gave me tools to use that gave me more comfort and confidence. The booklet she gave me with questions and suggestions helped me feel secure in my birth plan and I appreciated the illustrations of positions to labor in a lot. I know if I have any questions I can talk to her! I would 100% recommend Abby. She is so knowledgeable and very comforting.

Abby was there for my 3rd birthday and I am beyond happy for that! We were all resting, My husband was in the bathroom and I all of a sudden felt like I was going to pass out and puke. As soon as I sat up Abby was by my side talking to me while calling for nurses. I felt supported and heard my entire labor !! Definitely recommend!!
